This book document all activity related to the Coast Guard inLogansport at that time. The logs show that from 1828-1892, there were five different directors of coast guard service inLogansport. Each director had their own responsibilities and goals for the service. During World War II, Logansport became an important port of entry for goods entering and leaving America's war effort. The Army used Logansport as a staging ground before moving into Germany. As supplies arrived and troops left, Marines also used the port to disembark their ship during amphibious operations ashore. Since then,LogansPort has been home to numerous organizations responsible for keeping our waterways safe including:the Marine Mammal Stranding Center;the Port of Paducah Harbor;andLogan County Sheriff’s Department."

Logansport, Indiana is a city in Logansport County, Indiana, United States. The population was 7,814 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Logansport County. The city was founded in 1847 and named for General John C. Logan, who fought in the American Civil War and also served as an Indian agent. The first post office in Logansport was established on December 1, 1847 by Colonel John S. Dickerson with the name of "Logan's Station". On March 15, 1865, Logansport became a town when it merged with neighboring Goshen to form the new town of Logansport-Goshen Township. On November 17, 1892, the name of the town was changed to "Logansport" after General John C. Logan when he accepted an appointment as Ulysses S. Grant's Assistant Secretary of War at Fort Wayne (now Indianapolis). In 1924–1925 there were several changes to the town government; these included installation of a mayor and five trustees instead of one due to term limits; however all charges against Mayor Hickey were dropped and he continued to serve until his death on May 5 that year from cerebral hemorrhage after a long illness which had been going around since he took office three years earlier. On July 14, 1907 an act was passed by Congress providing for creation within each state of "Indian Territory" (later Oklahoma) what would become known as the Indian Nations Bureau; this bureau would be responsible for all relations between these nations and their respective governments including education and commerce among them. This act created what is now known as the Department of Interior under President Woodrow Wilson creating what has been called "the most important agency ever created within our borders." At this time George Washington Carver became head teacher at Jefferson City School District No 9 where he taught until his death on October 8th 1934 at age 74 years old having originally come to school in 1906 when he was only 11 years old! In 1939 during World War II Logansports defensive plant (now part of Mound City Arsenal) began production helping with war effort by producing munitions such as bombs and artillery shells while also manufacturing Liberty Ships used by US Navy

Logansport is a small, unincorporated community in Logansport Township, Steuben County, Indiana. The population was 184 at the 2010 census. It is located on the southwest corner of Logansport and Steubenville Roads. The first settler in Logansport was Elijah Stroud who arrived in 1809. He laid out a piece of land called "Eagle's Nest" which included present-day Logansport Township. The first school in Logansport was built in 1812 by the Reverend John Bunyan and his pupils from nearby Steubenville. In 1814, Elijah's wife Deborah started a blacksmith shop near where the current post office stands today. They also raised pigs and hogs for local market until about 1830 when they moved to what is now the town of Steubenville and started growing corn, beans, potatoes and other vegetables on their own farmstead known as "Stroud's Well". loganstown indiana history
