She started brewing her own coffee as an undergraduate at the University of California at Berkeley, where she studied ceramics and art history. Crown Point was founded in 1811 by General Anthony Wayne and his family. The community began as a series of log cabins built on a peninsula on the River Raisin near present-day Fort Wayne. In 1821, Crown Point became an official village after it was granted land by the British government. The first post office in Crown Point opened in 1824 and quickly grew into a thriving town with its own trading post and school system. By 1840, Crown Point had reached its peak as an industrial center due to its location on the river and its access to raw materials from nearby mines and mills. However, during the 1840s, economic conditions changed dramatically in India and many major Indian manufacturers left India for America because of high tariffs levied against their products by American merchants. This led to an increased demand for goods produced outside of India, which caused prices for Indian manufactured items to increase significantly. In 1795, Nicholas-Jacques Conte, an Italian coffee roaster and entrepreneur, published a book entitled "The Artisan Coffeeboiler." This book detailed his methods for making coffee and how it was enjoyed by the aristocracy in Europe. It also mentions that beans were roasted on small charcoal fires in open vaults near Rome. In 1819, Benjamin Franklin wrote an article for The Pennsylvania Gazette entitled "A System to Promote the Growth of Industry." This article advocated for different types of factories to be set up throughout Philadelphia to produce coffee. He also proposed that people should purchase whole beans from farmers and roast them themselves instead of buying pre-ground coffees from retailers. These early efforts show that artisan coffee was not only popular but also very advanced for its time. However, it wasn't until World War II that artisan coffee really took off in America. During this time, many cafes began using Arabica beans from Brazil as their primarySOURCE OF COFFEE

Crown Point is a small city in central Indiana, United States. The population was 5,557 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Hammond, IN Metropolitan Statistical Area. Crown Point is located on the banks of the Ohio River and it became an official town in 1825. The first settler in what is now Crown Point was Nicholas Suter who founded a log cabin on land he purchased from the native Potawatomies in 1795. Adam Clark built his sawmill on the river in 1812 and soon after other businesses followed suit including a flour mill and gristmill. In 1824, Isaac Capps organized a town meeting to decide whether or not to incorporation as Crown Point had been proposed by members of the local legal firm of Capps and Wessels. By 1830, Crown Point had become an independent town with its own government and court system despite having no railroads or telephone service. In 1858, when Sprague & Company began producing rails for new railroads coming through Indiana, they established their manufacturing plant near where today's Sprague Landing Boulevard runs parallel to the Ohio River just east of Crown Point's downtown area. This early industry led to increased economic development which sparked growth in business, retailing, housing development and professional services over time until both sides of I-80 newly bypassed crown point during traffic congestion caused by industrial growth beginning in the late 1970s The original buildings that once housed Sprague & Company are still standing today along with some associated infrastructure such as railroad tracks running through town center (renamed "Sprague Landing Boulevard" following this period of development).
