In the early 1800s, a woman named Anna married an Avon man named Joseph. They had four children: John, Sarah, Samuel and Rebecca. Anna died in 1831 at the age of 83 years. Avon, Indiana is a small town in the U.S. state ofIndiana that is located on the east banks of the Ohio River. The population was 1,887 at the 2010 census. Avon has been home to many notable people, including Senators Robert C. Byrd and John F. The area now known as Avon was first settled by Europeans in 1792 when French traders and missionaries founded a Jesuit mission there. By 1814, most of what is now Avon had been developed as a small farming community with numerous homes built along Indian Creek for its farmers and their families. In 1825, violence erupted between rival Native American groups over land claims – one group led by a European-American named George Washingburn claimed most of what is now eastern Indiana while the other group led by the Seminole Tribe controlled much of southeastern Ohio – so settlers began moving into what is now Avon from nearby towns such as East Stroudsburg (now part of Pittsburgh) to avoid any potential conflict. In 1859, two brothers named Augustus Linden started a grocery store in downtown Avon which quickly became successful and helped make Avon an important commercial center during the early 20th century thanks to its location on the river bank between Cincinnati and Dayton across from bothistar curbside service systems serving residents throughout much of central Ohio including Indianapolis/Ft Wayne (now Noblesville). By 1920, however, growth had slowed due to technological advances which made it easier for shoppers to reach larger cities through Interstate 65 instead of traveling downriver; furthermore, Prohibition had taken hold in America during this time which made many businesses inactive or resulted in increased prices for goods sold without alcohol being metered out accordingly; nevertheless, Linden's store continued to be operates until it closed in 1985 after years of decline due to competition from more efficient supermarkets; even today remnants can be found among avontheater District shopping mall development projects that have replaced older retail areas throughout central Indiana since World War II
