Yorkville is a small town in Sangamon County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield, IL–MO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlers in Yorkville were John and Mary White who arrived in 1828 from Kentucky. They soon started a general store and school house which still stands today as the only building left from their settlement. In 1830 Yorkville had two stores and four homes. By 1840 there were six stores, twelve homes, three churches, one log cabin hotel and a schoolhouse. In 1846 the Missouri Central Railway came through Yorkville on its way to Cairo, Illinois & Quincy. This opened up much business for the townspeople and by 1850 it had 10 stores and 50 homes. In 1860 Yorkville had 14 businesses with 590 residents; by 1870 it had 22 businesses with 1,200 residents; by 1880 it had 30 businesses with 2,000 residents; and by 1890 it had 38 businesses with 4,000 residents. In 1907 the Sangamon County seat was moved to Clinton because of population growth in that area and so the old jail closed down which led to many people moving into Yorkville- including some of America's most famous faces like President Harry S Truman and First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt- making it one of America's most popular towns during this time period Today Yorkville is known for its agriculture products such as apples, cornhusks (a type of paper), hay bales (from horse or donkeys) and other livestock feed items
The Coast Guard has been providing assistance to the boating and fishing communities for many years. In 1807, the first coast guard station was established at Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The Coast Guard was organized on December 10, 1915 and first served as an auxiliaries of Customs and Excise Officers. On July 1, 1917, the Coast Guard became an independent service with its own budget. On November 15, 1922, the Coast Guard received a new ship-basedantine named Mount Pleasant in honor of Rear Admiral Herbert H. Sutton who had served as Commandant of the Coast Guards from 1921 to 1923. In 1948, two new ships were ordered by President Harry S Truman – USS Constitution (CGN-38) and USS John F Kennedy (CGN-61). These were part of a larger program to modernize the Coast Guard fleet with better aircraft capabilities and missiles which would deter smugglers from using our waters. The original Mount Pleasant class ship was replaced by both vessels in 1968. On January 17, 1990 three USCGC Oceanic (CG-73) marine patrol boats collided while patrolling off Key West after takeoff from Kings Bay Marina in Marathon County Florida for their annual inspection tour run by US Customs & Border Protection officers on behalf of state agencies across Florida’s Treasure River Basin area including Miami Beach; Everglades National Park; Marco Island; Biscayne Bay; Fort Myers Beach; Naples Beach;West Palm Beach All three boats were destroyed when they impacted each other during takeoffs and landings primarily due to Broken Prominence design features on their hulls caused severe wear over time resulting in excessive drag which increased water speed while entering or exiting waterways creating large wakes that created dangerous conditions for both operators and voyageurs trying to navigate these areas

Yorkville was once an agricultural community located in the Illinois River Valley. The town was first settled by German immigrants in 1847. Yorkville grew rapidly during the late 1800s, becoming a popular tourist destination for people from all over Illinois and Indiana. In 1907, the city of Chicago annexed Yorkville, making it one of the city's first municipalities. Today, Yorkville is a thriving community with a diverse population that includes many businesses and professionals. The history of Yorkville can be traced back to 1847 when Germans arrived in what is now Illinois starting to settle down after fleeing war-torn Germany. At first they were farmers, but soon realized that they could not do this alone and started to build their own homes. By 1870, there were already more than 50 permanent residents living in Yorkville. The town quickly became known as a center for agriculture and trade due to its fertile land and great access to water resources. This prosperity did not last though; within 10 years, the Panic of 1893 had caused farmland prices to plummet and businessactivity at local farms began to decline significantly%. This new environment did not suit the young Germans well who decided that they would rather move away from farming altogether and start their own businesses instead. They did this by moving into small towns throughout central Illinois where they could find better working conditions and more opportunities for income. However, this strategy only worked temporarily because eventually farm prices returned to levels similar or higher than before the Panic hit (the exception being at Peoria where prices remained low until 1915). As time passed however, new arrivals couldn't keep up with demand for housing so some people decided to abandon their farming ventures in order to become self-sufficient entrepreneurs again – something which has continued through today’s times as many residents still run their own small businesses despite tight economic times. In 1907 Chicago annexed Yorkville making it one of its earliest municipalities; at this point it was home mainly to Polish/American refugees from World War I who had fled Austria following defeats there on 8 November 1918 (the day after World War I ended). Many people here are still commemorating this event today as part of our city’s history including street names such as “Polish Row” or “Walking Street” which reflect how much these refugees have shaped our townscape over time! Today there are over 1,000 residents living in Yorkville including many professional families like doctors, lawyers etc.; most have moved into downtown districts since 2007 when city services moved uptown along State Street near Northwestern University – perfect location given rich cultural diversity present here!
Yorkville was founded in 1847 by John Armstrong and his wife, Sarah. The town was named after York County, Pennsylvania, where Armstrong had settled in the mid-19th century. Yorkville grew rapidly during the 1840s and 1850s as a result of the opening of new railroad lines and the development of mill towns around them. In 1859, Armstrong donated land to found the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The town's growth slowed during the 1870s as a result of difficulties with transportation and competition from larger settlements nearby. However, by 1880 Yorkville had regained its previous level of growth and prosperity. During the 1920s, however, economic problems led to widespread social unrest which eventually led to a decline in population and commerce. By 1970, however, Yorkville had resumed its former status as an agricultural town with modest retail activity.
