Java Junction was started by two friends, Donny and Jane Kapp. They opened the first Java Junction in 1978 because they wanted to give back to their community. They were passionate about giving back to their local community and wanted to help make a difference in their area. In addition to providing great java, they also sell coffee beans and other related items. The challenges that Java Junction faced during its time have helped it stand up over time. For example, they have been able to maintain a consistent level of quality despite changing customer needs or preferences. Additionally, they have always had a positive attitude towards customers which has led them to continue serving customers for over 20 years now!
As an artisan coffee shop, we know that quality is a important part of our business. We roasted and brewed all of our beans fresh in-house. This ensured that each cup was handcrafted with care and attention to detail. The first coffee roasted in Summit, Illinois was a blend of two different beans. The beans were roasted by George Peet and his Sons Coffee Roasters. In 1912, Peet and his son Harry opened their business on the corner of Second Street and State Road 50 in Summit. They roast a variety of coffees including Italian, Sumatra, Ethiopian, Guatemalan and Colombian coffees.
Summit, Illinois is a small town in the northwestern corner of the United States. It is located on the eastern bank of the Chicago River, about 25 miles south of downtown Chicago. The population was 5,825 at the 2010 census. Summit was platted in 1887 and named for Augustus Fenton Summit, a banker and legislator from Ohio. The community developed around an agricultural center that produced hay, oats, cornmeal and other crops. Mail service to Summit began via wagon train through central Illinois in 1892 and continued until 1913 when automobiles became widely available. The first store opened in 1907. In 1915, Summit became home to America's first tractor dealership and has been one of its most important economic engines ever since. The economy of Summit has been based largely on agriculture since its inception as a settlement. Today, there are several businesses that provide services or products related to farming such as landscape architects, truck drivers and feedlot operators; however, export processing is also an important part of the local economy with some businesses operating outside of Illinois altogether In recent years there has been efforts by residents and business owners to repurpose aspects of their community that have not been used for decades such as shopping malls or officesplexes into new uses which have brought new life to these areas summitsilicon valley

Summit is a small town in McLean County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,391 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield metropolitan area. The first settler in Summit was John Hutt, who arrived in 1839. He and his family were the only white people to live in Summit until 1868 when an Irishman named Michael Hogan built a cabin on the east side of summit lake. In 1871, two brothers by the name of McMahon discovered gold near Summit and started mining for it. This led to a boomtown atmosphere in Summit which attracted miners, businesspeople, and others from all over Illinois and Michigan. A post office was established at Summit in 1872, and soon there were several hotels and other businesses catering to visitors from all around the area. During Reconstruction Era (1865-1877), many black men worked as sharecroppers or menial labor in local mines while attending school or working on farms outside of town; however, they did not have voting rights or any say in politics within their own communities until after World War II when they began to gain social justice through aggressive civil rights campaigns spearheaded by African American leaders like Martin Luther King Jr., Betty Friedan, Alice Paul etcetera. This history makes for an interesting read about how race plays into everyday life experiences for residents of this small town during these important times
