Richton Park is a small town in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,569 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. Gourmet coffee has been brewed here since the early 1800s and continues to be popular today. The first coffeehouses were opened in 1824 by Nicholas-Jacques Conte and his brother-in-law Samuel Woodbridge as a stop on their way from Boston to New York City. They advertised their coffee as "the best in the world." In 1860, John Augustus Stratton founded Stratton's Coffee House in Richton Park with two friends. He served only roasts of Java beans and sold only water drinks. The first espresso machine was introduced in 1912 by Angelo Pezzotta at Pezzotta's Coffee House near Michigan Avenue and Western Avenue in Richton Park. In 1924, Harry Aiken opened General Mills Coffee Shop on State Street in Richton Park with roasted beans from his farm on Grant Road just outside of town. This shop became one of the earliest grocery stores to sell gourmet coffee when it opened its doors for business on May 15, 1924. The store continued operation until 1984 when it closed due to economic conditions after many years serving customers who appreciated good quality coffee at an affordable price point. The first Starbucks location was open on Dickenson Drive in Mundelein IL back before they started opening up all over Chicagoland! That spot still stands today!

Richton Park is a city in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 20,819 at the 2010 census. It is the hometown of Chicago Bears linebacker Khalil Mack and current home of the Chicago Blackhawks hockey team. The first settlers to Richton Park were John Richardson and his family who arrived on October 2, 1827 from Hardwick Township in New England. They named their new town after their father-in-law, Richard Richardson (1793–1858), who had settled in what is now Buffalo, New York in 1815. At the time of its founding, Richton Park consisted only of a few scattered homes and a small schoolhouse. In 1881, Richton Park was annexed by the City of Chicago; however, it remained an independent community until it became part of merged with other municipalities within the city limits in 1955. The rich land around Richton Park made it an attractive place for industrial development beginning as early as 1884 when J&L Steel founded a plant there that produced railroad ties and wire products. In 1905 Union Carbide established its own chemical plant at what is now South Shore Drive and eastbound I-95 near Kane Road; this facility continued production into the 21st century. On November 10, 1960,izard Rockwell PLC announced that it would build a $100 million shopping mall complex called "Richmond" along Richmond Avenue (now Lincoln Highway) between Oak Street and West Side Highway in suburban Streamwood Township; construction began on October 25th of that year and was completed on May 15th of 1971 as "Richmond Mall". The Shopping Center has since been redeveloped into several high-end office complexes including One Fifth Avenue which opened in 2002 adjacent to Time Warner Corporate Headquarters—-the largest building ever built inside Loop business district boundaries; Sears Canada closed down its store there at some point during the late 1990s or early 2000s but remains vacant today although accessible through surface parking lots next to two other large office buildings still occupied by Sears: Kmart Plaza across from Sam's Towne Cadillac dealership and ShopRite off Elston Avenue near Metra Rail Station—all three structures are considered component parts of River Oaks Shopping Center redevelopment project which also includes larger enclosed shopping malls anchored by Hooters restaurant/Hooters Casino located at Interstate 95 exit 4A just north of I-294 interchange

Richton Park is a city in Cook County, Illinois, on the border of DuPage and Chicago Counties. The population was 53,569 at the 2010 census. It is the tenth-most populous city in Illinois. The first settler in Richton Park was John Cushman who arrived in 1837 and built a log cabin on what is now State Street. The following year, he married Isabella Goodman. In 1841, he bought 640 acres (253 hectares) of land west of present-day Maple Leaf Road and developed it as a township. He named his community "Richton Park." In 1852, he donated land to the City of Chicago for its first police department; Richton Park became part of the City of Chicago on April 1, 1903. In 1902, two brothers—Edwin and George Richardson—founded the Richardson Electric Light Company which manufactured light bulbs using high-voltage electricity from Edison's filament lights. One year later, they merged with another company to become General Electric Company (GE). GE continued to produce light bulbs until 1957 when it discontinued production altogether due to low demand from consumers across much of Europe. When GE withdrew from the market during World War II because of shortages caused by the war effort, many Richton park residents supported local businesses that continued producing munitions despite being forbidden by GE's regulations. Afterward, many Richton Park residents began returning to their traditional economy within their communities by starting small businesses or becoming self-employed professionals such as engineers or computer programmers. On October 15th 1906 an incorporation petition for "Richmond Heights" was filed with Cook County Clerk Emmett J Brady at 403 North Washington Boulevard in Chicago; Richmond Heights would eventually become one side of Queensway Avenue which runs through today's downtown area along First National Bank Plaza near Michigan Avenue
