The Quincy Naval Shipyard was founded in 1878, and has been working on warships for the United States Navy since then. The shipyards have produced a number of famous warships, including the USS Constitution (1797-1888), USS Enterprise (1954-1957), USS Fulton (1945-1948), and USS Abraham Lincoln (1863-1865).
