Plano is a city in Texas, United States. The population was 24,871 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Dallas County and part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. A year later, SMR merged with American Telephone& Telegraph Company creating AT&T WorldCom which held its first meeting in Plano on November 3rd 1909 under such circumstances as: every subscriber holding 1 or more shares was entitled to be issued a call card entitling them "One Stop Ahead".
