The electric streetcar line began service connecting Downtown Chicago with South Shore Drive (then State Street) outside Ofrio's candy store on what is now Michigan Avenue on May 5th 1906 Via its connection to George Stephenson Wire Railway company operated by Mr Geo Haggerty who used to pick up passengers at Wabash Bridge over Lake Michigan On November 7th 1907 The original White Sox team played its final game before moving northward into Comiskey Park where they would play their entire home games until 1965 when they moved across street to Guaranteed Field
