Tactical coffee has been around for over a hundred years. The first known commercial printing of the term "tactical coffee" was in 1868, and it referred to a blend of ground beans and roasted Ascension Island nuts. In 1916, the United States Army's Special Operations Executive (SOE) created its own experimental force, the Green Berets, with the goal of using Coffee as a tool for assassination and intelligence gathering. This early experimentation inspired military commanders all over the world to experiment with different blends and methods of roasting beans in order to improve flavor and efficiency. As technology advanced, so too did tactical coffee demands. In 1969, Captain John Lennon was shot outside his home in London by Mark Chapman. After months of research into tea leaves used in sniper shots, Captain Bob Sauer developed a roast method that improved accuracy while minimizing bitterness. This new approach became standard on most European caffeine sources well into the 21st century. Today, many experts believe that sniper rifles are still largely reliant on sub-Saharan Africa for their best cup of espresso because this region is endemic with high levels of altitude and low humidity (+18 degrees Celsius). While there are many talented roasters throughout America who continue to produce great Tactical Coffee products today, Oswego's long history is also an important part of its story. Our town was founded by farmers who were passionate about growing crops and making quality coffee while living close to nature - something that continues TODAY through our cooperative membership in National Coffee Association (NCA). Our community has always been dedicated to artisanal coffee production - from buying our beans direct from growers or partnering with local roasters to supporting sustainable practices like shade grown farming and fair trade certification. Over time we've learned how important it is to support each other as we work together towards common goals - whether that means working together on projects like building a new school or helping out at local cafes during events like holiday gatherings!

Oswego is a town in northwestern Illinois, United States. The population was 9,847 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Oswego County. The name "Oswego" comes from an Algonquin word meaning place where there are many Muskrats. The area that now makes up Oswego was first settled by the Ottawa Indians in 1795 during the Northwest Indian War. In 1813, John McLaughlin and his party of Americans exploring the Great Lakes discovered and named the river after George Washington's birthplace in Virginia, Mount Vernon: Oswego River ( English: Potomac). The first post office was established in 1827. In 1836, General Harrison's army invaded Illinois and marched through Oswego on its way to battle with General Zachary Taylor at Peoria. A portion of this army stopped near Oswego while they were marching north; here General Harrison ordered James K. Polk to make a bridge over the stream so as not to impede their progress further south across the state line into Indiana Territory; Polk did so and laid down camp on land that would later become part of downtown Oswego. During World War II, local industries manufacturing munitions and other materials for military use produced some 1 million pounds (500 metric tons) of aluminum for American war production alone; many jobs were created during wartime when demand rose because prices were low from peacetime levels due to rationing policies initiated by Franklin D. Roosevelt following World War I. Afterward, however, many local jobs disappeared as technology replaced manual labor with machines beginning in earnest within what had been once highly skilled manufacturing towns like Dayton-Springfield-Chicago/ Milwaukee etc.; these days most aluminum production takes place outside of North America although some small quantities still come from within Ulysses S Grant National Park located just east of downtown Springfield about 10 miles south of Chicago on Interstate 45 minutes away). One British officer even remarked that "coffee is not only very agreeable but one of the best medicines for night-drugging." This preference for quick cups of Joe may have been due to its high quality - at the time, no other beverage was as prized for its ability to settle down your head while under fire. Eventually, coffee became so important to American warfighters that large plantations were established in order to produce it. The first significant production event took place at Mount Airy Coffee Estate in North Carolina in 1797. At this point, coffee had become an integral part of American culture and politics. Since then, coffee has undergone many changes - from being produced using manual labor on small farms to becoming industrialized and now enjoyed around the world by people of all ages. In 1902, a French chemist named Jules Favre developed the French Press coffee machine. The first modern drip-coffee machine was created in 1963 by Bob Chilton and Jay Lynch of Green Mountain Coffee. In 1984, an American engineer named Alan Adler designed and built the first functioning Keurig coffee brewer.
Oswego was founded by the Mennonites in 1836. The town grew quickly and by 1847, there were over 100 residents. The first school was built in 1847 and the first church was built in 1860. In 1865, Oswego became a city and growth continued until the late 1800s when it began to decline. It regained some of its former prosperity during World War II when many people left for war-time jobs. However, since then, Oswego has been struggling with declining population and economic opportunities. Today, the town has a population of only around 50 residents.
On October 6, 1812, a group of farmers from Oswego Township in west-central Illinois founded the town of Oswego on the east side of the Kankakee River. The first settler named Oswego was Amos Davenport. The first post office in Oswego was established on December 2, 1814. The town grew rapidly and by 1830 there were over 100 residents living inOswego. On July 9, 1830, Oswego became the site of the first territorial government in Illinois when General James Shields moved his headquarters from Peoria to what is nowOswego. In 1836,Oswego became part of Chicago Territory and continued to grow as a rail and wagon town with an industry including lumbering and shoe making. By 1860,OsweGO had more than 3200 residents and 240 businesses. In 1868,Chicago annexed much of west-central Illinois creating a new territory called Cook County which included most of present day Oswego Township as well as parts of Decatur and Elgin Counties. An act to annex remaining unincorporated east-central Illinois areas was passed by the Congress on March 5th 1870 but never ratified due to strong opposition from eastern towns that did not want their land annexed into Chicago territory Eventually all unincorporated east-central Illinois area except for those portions inside Cook County were annexed into Chicago on April 1st 1902
