Tactical coffee began in Orland Park, Illinois in the early 1970s as a way to improve military strategy and communications. The first café was opened by a group of soldiers stationed at Fort Sheridan. They started serving coffee to members of the military and their families as a form of support during deployments. The Coffee Bean Company was founded in 1971 by Don Freeman and Frank Massa. The company served tactical coffee for the US Military until 1984 when it switched to Keurig machines. While Keurig became popular with civilians, the Coffee Bean Company continued to serve its unique product to servicemen and women until it closed its doors in 2002. Today, there are several remaining cafes that serve tactical coffee, most notablyiqte Combat Zone Coffee & Tea which is located in Arlington Heights, Illinois. This cafe offers an extensive menu including both ground and brewed beans, syrups, pastas and desserts. As with all businesses that have been around for many years, Combat Zone Coffee & Tea has seen some changes over time; however, the core concept remains unchanged: providing qualitymilitary-themed caffeine beverages to those who need them most!

This method required a lot of time and effort to heat up the wood so that it could produce a hot beverage. The next step in coffee brewing was using water heated by an open flame or by a pot with an oven thermometer inserted into it. This method produced a weaker cup of coffee than using cold water without heating it first. The next step in Brewing Coffee was using boiling water and malt extract instead of just water and ground beans. Boiling water helped bring out all the flavors that are present in Ethiopian, Italian, French press, Turkish, Spanish process and others types of coffees. After boiling water and malt extract were added to the beans, they were roasted over an open fire or in a pot on low heat until they achieved their desired flavor profile

Orland Park, Illinois is an unincorporated community in Pike County, Illinois, United States. It lies north of the city of Chicago and east of the village of Westmont. The community had a post office from 1854 to 1906. Orland Park was named after Orland Park, Indiana. The first settler in Orland Park was George Fenton in 1834. A school was built there in 1835 by Mr. and Mrs. Henson. In 1846, John Riggs came to Orland Park and started a flour mill there. He also owned the land that now houses the Community Center and several other businesses. The first store in Orland Park opened its door on May 4, 1854, when Wm Condon opened a general store at 422 Niles Ave.. The business continued until 1886 when it closed due to financial difficulties caused by the Panic of 1893. In 1865 Jens Hansen established a blacksmith shop on Wacker Drive which continued until 1978 when it closed because vandalism became too common inside the shop; however some parts are preserved as part of the WeequahicWorks Museum (see photo). In 1898 Elisha Pease set up a grocery store at 511 Sixty-fourth St., which operated until 1961 when it closed due to lack of customers or competition from larger stores nearby; however some parts are preserved as part of Pease's home museum (see photo). A post office called "Orlando" was established at this location on October 1, 1855; it served until June 26, 1906 (). Aftermath of World War I led to increased demand for mail service so on December 10th 1916 US Postmaster General James Geddes appointed Alfred Payson Peck as supervisor for all rural areas including Orland Park; this position lasted until his retirement on January 15th 1928 (). On November 21st 1927 Solomon Kapp assigned Carl Klingaman as cashier for all branches outside of Chicago (); he held this position until his retirement on July 1st 1931 (). ADP took over mail delivery for Chicago on December 11th 1942 (). Klingaman retired from ADP with many years experience () and was replaced by Harry Weisman who held this position until his retirement effective February 6th 1951 (). On October 3rd 1948 Edward Kapp organized what is considered one of the most significant events in local history - The founding OFBDSU fraternity at 401 Niles Ave.; organization ceremonies were held at various locations throughout town culminating with dinner at Kapp's house that night followed by formal induction into OFBDSU(). This event marks one thousand five hundred days since college students joined together to form an organization!
