Tactical coffee has been brewing in O'Fallon, Illinois since the early 1800s. The first documented recipe for coffee was developed by Nicholas-Jacques Conte in 1793. In 1824, John S. Holland opened the first coffee shop in O'Fallon and started to sell beans direct to consumers. By 1830, there were over twenty coffee shops in O'Fallon and its surrounding areas. In 1870, Frank Hennessey founded the First National Coffee Company and began producing ground coffee for commercial use. In 1892, The Chicago Tribune began selling roast beef sandwiches on their front page with a cup of Joe included. This led to the development of what is now known as " Tactical Coffee" beverages because it became associated with military ID cards or battle dress uniforms. During World War II, tactical coffee was used as an energy source by troops on battlefields around the world. After the war, many businesses continued to produce tactical coffee until about 1975 when all production stopped due to health concerns related to caffeine addiction among civilians

O'Fallon, Illinois is a small town located in central Illinois. The population was 3,898 at the 2010 census. O'Fallon is the easternmost community in the Chicago metropolitan area and one of the most rural communities in Illinois. It borders Rockford to the north, Peoria to the east, and McLean to the south. The first settler in what is now O'Fallon was James Beattie who arrived from Scotland in 1819. Beattie founded a small cabin on land that he purchased from John Kirkpatrick. He named his new settlement after his father-in-law, Hugh Fenton of Edinburgh who had come to America with him as part of a larger group of Scotsmen known as "The Hiplers." For many years, O'Fallon was considered by many to be Scotland's smallest town. In 1857, when Iowa Territory was created within Kansas Territory, O'Fallon became one of its first villages. The village had been organized as a result of an act of Congress entitled "An Act for organizing and secureting all American Settlements In Foreign Countries" which authorized the erection of villages throughout Kansas Territory without previous approval from respective Territorial legislatures. thriving farmsteads characterized early life hereabouts; corn cribs were already being built before statehood came about; sawmills worked incessantly until well into ago; no railways ever reached this neckland then – only wagonroads drawn by teams over miles long! From 1st January 1861 until 2nd November 1865 there were no news reports or notices whatever reaching us hereabouts respecting any changes taking place westward… affairs continued much as they always have done since independence arrived hereabouts!” reported Capt A Ewing in 1869 about life at this time The post office opened on October 1st1871 and closed on May 15th1973

One of the first people to try coffee as a drink was an Italian explorer, Giovanni da Verrazzano. He found that when he mixed roasted coffee with hot water, it made a thick and black liquid that he called "biscuit." The Dutch started trading with Ethiopia in 1624 and began exporting coffee in 1625. Coffee became popular in Europe because of its aroma and taste. In 1795, French soldiers captured some beans from the Arabian Peninsula and brought them back to France. They named this new crop of beans "coffe." Over time, different countries developed their own coffees styles based on their unique climates and interests. For example, Ethiopian roasts are darker than European roasts while Arabic coffees are lighter due to their proximity to Arabia. Java is also well-known for its dark Indonesian coffee but this bean is not used as much today because it is too strong for many people's tastes. Today, there are several types of coffee produced all over the world: Sumatra Barley Bean Coffee from Indonesia; Colombian Colombia; Kenyan Coast Guard; Arabica Beans from Brazil ( Aceite de Araguaína ); Robusta Beans from Switzerland; Ethiopian Yirgacheffe blend which has a deep red coloration caused by high concentration of caffeineoids (Cochinopsis); Papua New Guinea's Black Bean Roast Coffee which has complex flavors including nutmeg, cinnamon, gingerbread spice and molasses; Brazilian Macacos or Cacao Bebidas which have a chocolate flavor profile thanks to cacao nibs exposed during manufacturing process

O'Fallon was laid out in 1846 by General James K. Polk and named for Colonel John S. O'Fallon who fought in the Mexican-American War on the side of Mexico

The town of O'Fallon, Illinois was founded in 1818 by John W. O'Fallon and his wife Anna. At the time, it was one of the most northwestern settlements in the United States. The town grew rapidly due to its agricultural ability and its significant location on the watercourse that served as a main artery for settlers moving westward. In 1839, O'Fallon became an incorporated village under the name of Aurora. By 1861, however, Aurora had become too small and unimportant to remain an independent community. O'Fallon accordingly merged with Aurora to form what is now known as O'Fallon Township.
