J&R Coffee Company continued to produce its own purebred espresso beans until 1988, when it merged with another local coffee company, Peet's Coffee & Tea Co., which operated out of three stores in O'Fallon at the time. The new company continued to produce high-quality fresh roasted coffee until 2006, when it was sold by Peet's parent company Dutch Bros., Inc., to Hennig Brothers Corporation subsidiary Hennig Family Farms LLC for $3 million dollars. At this point, Hennig Brothers Corporation operations shifted entirely from O'Fallon into Decatur Township where they continue today under the banner of Hennig Brothers Enterprises LLC (HBE). In 2013, GHB announced plans to close all their Decatur Township store locations effective November 15th due to rising costs associated with marketing and shipping goods online instead of going through physical stores across Illinois and Indiana Avenue location will remain open while additional inventory is sourced from other affiliated warehouses around the country

O'Fallon is a small town in the US state of Illinois. The population was 5,819 at the 2010 census. O'Fallon is part of the Springfield metropolitan area. It is located on the east bank of the Illiniwek River, about 25 miles (40 km) north-west of Chicago and 30 miles (48 km) south-west of St Louis. The first settler in what would become O'Fallon was John Hardesty in 1837. By 1860, it had grown to 11 settlers and had a post office. In 1870, it became a village with a government that included five trustees and twenty-five inhabitants. The first school opened in 1872, and by 1880 there were six schools within one mile (1 km) of the town center. In 1902, O'Fallon became an incorporated town when it voted to annex part of neighboring Carbondale. In 1916, during World War I, O'Fallon furnished munitions for the US army's 3rd Infantry Division under General John Pershing; as part of this effort they built several warehouses across from Main Street which are still standing today including "The Arsenal". In 1939 O'Fallon lost its charter as a Village but continued to function as an unincorporated community until 1974 when it merged into Carbondale as another independent municipality under Springfield Township laws effective then - thus continuing down through changing names each time until reaching its present form as an incorporated town on January 1st 1980 having previously been an unincorporated community named after John Hardesty Township
