In 1907, Johnnie Kapp purchased Bianchi’s Cafe from Gianni Bianchi and continued to run it until his death in 1951; he is buried at Elmwood Cemetery with his wife Florence (née Donoghue). From 1952 through 1978, Cafeteria America operated as Bianchini's Cafeteria located at 5227 W Roosevelt Rd in Aurora; that building still stands today - serving up delicious Italian food since 1957!
Norridge is a town in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 9,811 at the 2010 census. It is the most populous municipality in Cook County. The village of Norridge was merged with the town of Orrington on February 17, 2009. Norridge was founded by German immigrants in 1836 as an agricultural center for the surrounding country villages and towns. By 1860, it had become an important railroad junction and manufacturing center for items such as flour, cheese, eggs and pork products. The city of Chicago annexed Norridge in 1893. In 1957, the city limits were increased to encompass all of what is now Orrington Township and parts of unincorporated Addison Township west of Interstate 70. On February 17, 2009, the merger between Norridge and Orrington became effective; both towns are now considered part of Chicago's "inner suburbs". Norridge has a total area of , making it one of Cook County's largest municipalities by land area. It shares borders with other municipalities including Addison Township to the north-west; Wauconda to the east-southeast; Cicero to the south-southwest; Rockford to the southwest; Glenview to the northwest and Schaumburg to its west-northwest corner (the City Limits do not include Schaumburg). The river that once served as its main economic engine—the DuPage River—lies just outside town boundaries on one side and Rush Lake on another side bordered by farmland until about 1900 when roads were built connecting Rush Lake with Midway Airport on three sides (now known as I-290), making Norridge increasingly accessible through commuting options available from Chicagoland beyondChicago's downtown boundaries: southbound I-90 from Rush Road east past Midway Airport into Norridge before continuing northeast along State Street into Chicago proper while northbound I-90 crossed over Rush Road into Addison Township concurrent with US Highway 12 near Green Line Station before terminating at Loop Drive/Igoe Boulevard within Turney Park Central Park which forms much or all today's edge around modern day Downtown Chicago - this unusual scenario having arisen because early transportation infrastructure generally paralleled expressways rather than remaining unique pieces localized within a single township or rural area - even though prior Calumet & DuPage Counties had similar layouts being more typical where expressways intersected local roads halfway or so between communities providing easy access throughout their respective jurisdictions... Today there are multiple short driving distances within close community neighborhoods (Edgewater Gardens & Hyde Park) located within walking distance (& no need for uberX)of many restaurants offering delivery services

Norridge is a small town in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. The population was 5,491 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago–Naperville–Joliet Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first permanent settler in Norridge was Abram Fenton, who arrived in 1837. Fenton built a cabin on the present-day site of Norridge High School. A post office was established in 1846, and the name changed to Norridge in 1868 after John Norridge, an early settler and president of the village board. In 1860, about 60 people lived in Norridge when it became a village; by 1890 it had grown to 210 residents. Norridge's economy is based on agriculture and manufacturing. The local mill closed down in 1984 but has been restored as a museum within walking distance of the town center. There are also several stores and restaurants located close to downtown Norridge. In recent years there has been much development taking place around town with new housing developments being constructed as well as new businesses opening up which have helped fuel growth for Norridge over the past few decades

A post office was established in 1835, and the first store opened in 1840. The town rapidly grew, with a population of around 100 people by 1850. In 1857, Norridge became an incorporated village. By 1900, the population had increased to 300 people, and the village had a school and two stores. In 1925, the village merged with neighboring Village of Arlington Heights to form the current Norridge Township.
