This store was soon joined by another store on Elm Street; both stores were known as The Coffee House. In 1929, The Coffee House moved to its current location at 410 North Center Street and became known as the Forum Coffee House. In 1941, the Forum Coffee House went out of business and it was replaced by the present-day Mundelein Coffee Shop at 414 North Center Street which still serves coffee today! Mundelein's coffee history goes beyond simply serving coffee! Some of the earliest cafes in town were operated by local merchants who would provide services such as lunchtime sandwiches (later called salads) or to-go cups of coffee during daytime hours while their businesses were open for business! These early cafes likely helped start off what would become Mundelein's long tradition of providing quality cup of Joe service!

Mundelein is home to the Mundelein Agricultural School and the Mundelein High School. The first Europeans to visit what is now Mundelein were fur traders and missionaries in 1803. A post office was established here on April 3, 1819. The name "Mundelein" was derived from a Indian word meaning "a place where horses are watered." In 1836, John P. McCormick built a farm on what is now McCullough Road. He named it McCormick Place after his father-in-law John Prentice McCormick (1786–1854). In 1892, local entrepreneur Julius Stricker donated land for the construction of an agricultural college which would become Mundelein Agricultural College (later renamed Lincoln University). The school opened in 1893 and became one of the leading agricultural colleges in the United States. It offered undergraduate and graduate degrees until it merged with Northwestern University in 1968. John Fenton started a cotton gin in MundeleIN during the early 19th century which produced some of America's first cotton Textiles Millinery still going today! His descendant Mr Fenton passed away recently but left behind many memories including visiting his mill every day when he lived here as well as taking part in numerous community events over many decades!

Mundelein, Ill. is a town located in McLean County, Illinois, United States. The population was 11,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. Mundelein was founded in 1836 by John Payson and his wife Rebecca as a small village on the banks of the White River. The first post office in Mundelein was established in 1837 and named for Reverend Samuel Mundelein of Fayetteville, Arkansas who had come to preach the gospel there that year. In 1840, Rev. Mundelein's son-in-law George Stephenson built a sawmill on the river and renamed it after him, Stephenson Mills Corporation (later known as GEICO). The town acquired its current name of Mundelein from Samuel Moultrie III who donated land to create it and laid out its boundaries in 1868. Mundelein experienced rapid growth following World War II due to its proximity to Chicagoland and its role as an industrial center for munitions manufacturing during both World Wars I and II. However, recent economic declines have made Mundeleine one of McLean County's poorest towns by median household income rankings; however it remains highly diverse with nearly every race and ethnicity represented among its residents according to2010 US Census data The history of Mundelein goes back two centuries when European settlers arrived here looking for a new home in what is now Illinois remnants can still be found today along White River where early farmers hunted game such as deer, turkey and squirrels Mundeleine became part of Mclean County on January 1st 1836 when Judge James Haskins granted township organization to many farmers living west of Springfield some 10 miles east of present day Mundeleine In addition three families from Decatur Township joined forces with those from Randolph Township forming what would eventually become called “the First Family” or “Randolphite Colony” which included Reverend Samuel Moultrie III (John Payson) his wife Rebecca (née Clark), their son Nathan (Josephus Richardson), their daughter Margaret( Betsey Coffin), her husband Reuben( Solomon Poor) also some other family members including Peter Sibley (Peter Sprague) . They started farming 7 miles south east from present day Randolph As time passed more people moved into the township making it larger still including Job Cramer later becoming justice Of The peace As business grew so too did social events such as dances held at Mrs Cook’s house before going downriver for dinner at Mrs Davenport’s home afterwards where polite company could be had without any social awkwardness

In 1829, Mundelein became a town charter city with a population of 100 residents. It grew rapidly during the 1830s and 1840s, with new businesses and homes being built along the river. By 1848, Mundelein had a population of 3,000 people. During the mid-19th century, Mundelein experienced rapid growth due to its location at one of the main trade routes between Europe and North America. This led to increased business opportunities for entrepreneurs and workers in Mundelein. However, by 1870s economic conditions began to decline in Mundelein due to decreased traffic and an increase in competition from other towns in the region. As a result, many businesses closed their doors or turned their attention towards other opportunities. In addition,mundelein's population decreased from 3,000 people to 400 by 1880 due to efforts by local officials to reduce its size.[1] Despite its low population density during this time period, Mundelein continued to experience significant growth over time thanks largely to its location at one of two major trade routes between Europe and North America (the other being Chicago). This led to increased opportunities for entrepreneurship and worker productivity within Mundelein; however, it also resulted in increased competition from other towns in the region which caused some firms To close or move away from town altogether. Despite these challenges throughout its history,mundeleine has managedto maintain a strong cultural identity that continues today
