Loves Park, Illinois is one of the most significant coffee towns in America. The town was founded in 1871 by two American businessmen, Nelson and Alfred L. Dodge, and became one of the largest coffee-producing areas in the Midwest. In 1923, the city of Chicago annexed Loves Park, making it a part of the city. Today, Loves Park remains an important center for coffee production and consumption in Illinois. The history of tactical coffee goes back to at least 1881 when two American businessmen—Nelson Dodge and Alfred L. Dodge—founded a small business manufacturing rifle cartridges called "Dodge's Riflery." The business grew rapidly thanks to its success in supplying ammunition to both Union soldiers during the Civil War and later to businesses throughout Illinois. In 1923, when Chicago annexed Loves Park into its city limits, Nelson Dodge decided to move his printing press from Oak Lawn Avenue in Chicago's West Side to what is now downtown Loves Park so that he could continue producing high-quality rifle cartridges here at his new company headquarters. The company prospered until World War II when producer shortages caused prices to fall sharply and sales begandeclining; by 1945, only five years after startup, the company had closed down completely due to economic conditions. Today little remains of either old or contemporary dodge rifles production plants other than fragments of metal frames scattered around town - evidence that this once prosperous industry simply vanished amid Detroit's postwar boomlet (and ensuing glut). It should be noted though that even today some avid shooters still enjoy using pre-WWII rifles made by Dixon & Drake firearms division (now owned by ATK Firearms) within Michigan City's historically rich cannonball gun culture - on private property known as "Old Order" just outside OFM(East Lansing). In contrast with much post-war America where breweries flourished while rustling up cheap WWII products took over many trades; Illinois' love affair with Tactical Coffee began more modestly with a single man: Nelson Dodge himself who managed not just one but three successful enterprises before turning full time to roasting coffee beans for sale inside his home - first on a family farm then later at retail locations across Chicagoland (in addition he also operated several small mills manufacturing munitions). With such an extensive background we can forgive him for trying something new twice...at least he tried! Coffee was first brought to Loves Park, Illinois by a couple of German immigrants in the early 1800s. The local farmers started growing coffee and selling it to people in the town. Coffee became popular in Loves Park because it was easy to drink and hassle-free.
Loves Park, Illinois is a small town in west central Illinois. It was founded in 1872 by the families of Levi and Mary Lawless. The town has a population of about 1,500 people today. Loves Park is located on the south side of the St. Joseph River. It is bordered to the north by Carbondale, to the east by Southaven, and to the south by La Salle. The community was named for two brothers who were important figures in early settler life in that area: Levi Love and Amos Love. Amos had been an influential political leader in Carbondale and Southaven during the earlier part of this century; he also served as mayor of Carbondale from 1867 to 1870. Levi Love was one of the few original settlers in Loves Park, coming there from West Allis, Wisconsin after moving his family from Ohio three years before that town's incorporation date. He settled on a farmstead near what is now its center in 1872-73 after purchasing land from John Hennepin (the brother-in-law of Chicago entrepreneur Ebenezer Cook). In addition to their contributions to early Loves Park development, Levi Love and Amos Love are also noted for playing an important role in later years as members of local civic organizations including both a local school board (1874-75) and township trustees (1906-07). In 1898 they donated land adjacent to their home for use as a public park - initial plans called for it to be called "Amos & Levi's Grove." However, due primarily to financial considerations (the couple had become quite wealthy through various business interests), funds didn't materialize until 1924 when they endowed another portion of their property with such amenities as tennis courts, playgrounds, basketball Courts No 2 & 3 etc., which still exist today within Loves Park Recreation Area boundaries. Loves Park has experienced several name changes throughout its history: "Loveesville," "Aurora," "Moline," etc.; however no definitive connection can be made between any given name change or event/occurrence and any specific person or group thereof within the confines of that particular community context/history[.] Rather than attempting comprehensive documentation on this topic beyond what exists herein already (i.e., identifying key individuals/groups involved with major name changes across different eras / contexts within Loves Park), it will suffice here merelyto provide brief overviews highlighting some significant highlights specific unto Loves Park over time - gleaned mainly from published histories / articles chronicling community events/mortals during that timeframe... From earliest days until recently [1924], following upon Leviosa & Amos' gift lands adjacent thereto comprising much parts now included within our current borders at right – bounded on each side by State lines then existing but not yet annexed by us – we enjoyed uninterrupted access into alluvial bottomlands watered abundantly just below hardwood woods lying thickly upon fertile loam pastures carpet'd with wild hogs & deer browsed constantly since 1830!… A new type Road constructed soon thereafter bridged tho’ intervening swampy ground thro’ state line thereby connecting our lots with those adjoining eagarated ones just mentioned making them all interdependent Community Property answering alike as Taxpayers but more so because improvements erected subsequently therein renders us proprietors jointly & severally liable for fullmajesty charges incident thereto bearing interest at 12 per cent compounded annually…. By act ceded 6th day Novbrt 1865 all encumbered Lots subject thereto prior thereto became individually vested “ lovable property vested forever hereafter” . . . The final incarnation [of Loveseat] took place following World War II when residents subscribed $1 per capita towards erection fund purchased lot @ $25 per acre – resulting ultimately at present fair value d/b/a Parkside Manor Ltd.. Prior incarnations include: "Loveesville" name given circa 1850-'60 post relocated therefrom due largely IRS protests associated w/$ gold mine claims; Aurora Township renamed circa 1905-'10; Moline renamed 1945-'48; Aurora Beatty Co.—estimated date purchase actually occurred Sept 151945 thru Dec 2 1946 according to Trustees Report filed Apr 1947….. Due mostly taxation issues ensuing post World War II split among manyResidents Voted To Leave rather then continue paying taxes on same parcels when offered new terms…….. Name changed back again Jan 1978 thru Feb 1979 again via petition submitted w/ intent To relaunch old Name campaign under new title ½ Price For All Lots single adults only………………………………….. Name rebranding complete Mar 1980 thru Nov 1984…."

Loves Park, Illinois is a small town in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 5,965 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. Loves Park was platted in 1849 by John Loves and his wife Lucy Newcomb. The name may be derived from earlier French settlers called "Homes" who prospected for coal there in the late 1840s. The first post office was located at what is now Loves Park east of present day intersection of State Street and First Avenue. In 1851 Jno. Loves organized a village trusteeship with six residents; he also donated land to build a school and store on Elk Grove Road which became today's Main Street. A second store and school were built on the same lot in 1857-58 by Elisha Goodloe & Brothers real estate firm under contract from Village Trustees Incorporated as a public company chartered in December 1856 by John Hamsher Sr., Jesse Hamsher, Amos Hamsher, Nicholas Flournoy and Abraham Lincoln with powers to purchase Lots 1-3 adjoining State street between First Avenue(now Wacker Drive)and Elmhurst avenue (now Lake Shore Drive), block 4th north of current day Harrison road (now Cicero Ave.), bounded southward on state street to banks of White River below Cedar Pointe reservoir (now Addison Rd.) Southwick house No 2 on line 25 Block 3rd North of present day Harrison road (now Cicero Ave.)
Loves Park was a small farming town in McLean County, Illinois, which was the site of one of the most significant American Revolutionary War battlefields. The town was founded by Isaac L. Love and his family in 1812, after they bought land from the government for $2 per acre. In 1814, Love and his brother James moved to what is now part of Bloomington, Indiana, because they were unhappy with their farm's location in McLean County. They started a grocery store there and later built a home for themselves. The town suffered during the Civil War due to its close proximity to Confederate forces. When Union General Ulysses S. Grant arrived at Loves Park on April 12, 1865, he ordered all Confederate prisoners taken into custody and burned down the town's stores.
