On October 20th of that year, Loves Park became the first village in Illinois and its population reached 50 people. The early years of Loves Park were difficult as the Peterboro Road was a very difficult road to travel due to two hills that stood in its way. However, through hard work and determination by the community members, things began to improve for them during this time period. In 1839-1840, local farmers started growing corn on their properties which helped provide food for the townspeople as well as providing money for day-to-day expenses such as building roads and infrastructure. Loves Park experienced some big changes during World War II because many soldiers from nearby townships came into LovesPark to fight in the war. This led to an increase in business activity within the town because people could now buy items they couldn’t produce themselves such as food or ammunition. During these years there were also several festivals held throughout summertime that brought together different aspects of life within the smalltown including music concerts and picnics among other activities On January 1st, 1995LivesPark merged with neighboring village Oak Lawn into one larger municipality known as Villa Village Incorporated (or simply VTI). At this time there were over 4500 residents living within VTI boundaries which made it one of largest municipalities in Illinois with over $100 million worth of assets .
