Lockport is a town in McLean County, Illinois, United States. The population was 20,531 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago–Naperville– Springfield metropolitan area. The old mill and post office are located in Lockport. The first settlers in what is now Lockport were farmers who arrived from Maryland in 1829. John Hatton started an agricultural business on the east side of town which he operated until his death in 1851. His son David C. Hatton continued the family farm until it was sold to Amos Singer in 1865. In 1871, Isaac reversiblelogging company built a sawmill on the south side of town (now owned by Caterpillar). That year also saw the opening of the first professional school in Lockport - Eastern High School (later renamed Francis Warton Academy). The mill closed its doors in 1902, but reopened as a shoe store under new ownership that year. In 1903, J. Prentice & Sons began manufacturing stovepans out of log foundry rubble brought over from nearby Moline; this venture led to Lockport's first growth as a industrial center with many businesses catering to local consumers such as grocery stores and clothing retailers along with production for export markets such as Europe and Asia During World War II many factories were constructed near or within walking distance of eastern high school; these included munitions plants at White Sands Arsenal and Arsenault Paper Products Company Ltd., metalworking operations at Brush & Wire Manufacturing Company and Westinghouse Electric Corporation's Hudnut Radio Laboratory before shutdown during hostilities In 1951, Eastern High School became Grinnell College Preparatory School when it merged with Grinnell University; howeverlockportingschool remained separate from Grinnell until 1982 when it became part of Northwestern University . lockporting has two small shopping malls - one on Main Street across from eastern high school where most residents live and another off US Highway 442 just north of town center where most employment takes place

The ship gave birth to one son during her deployment - John Fenton Wohlbrandt - before finally returning home on October 5th 1946. 1977- The USS Constitution Museum in Philadelphia hosted a gift exchange between United States Marine Commandant General James Moseley III and his Japanese counterpart Lieutenant Commander Kiyoshi Shimada aboard HMS Zulu while they toured duty off Japan during Fleet Week 1977. It was also this year that Ulysses S Grant sold his collection of samurai armor from his time traveling through Japan in 1853-1854 for $2100 USD to help support American military efforts there during World War II
