John's son-in-law, Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865), also came to Lindenhurst in 1835 and became one of its earliest settlers. He married Sarah Gilbert (1795-1868). After her death he married Mary Todd Lincoln (1815-1883) and they had six children: Abraham (baptized March 14, 1837; died young), Edwin M., Jr., Anna J., Willie F., Josephine H."
