It wasn't until 1974 that The Brick House Coffee Roasters opened their doors at 8th & State Streets - this establishment quickly became known for its delicious artisanal blends (made with local roasts) as well as its creative cappuccinos and lattes alike! Today there are countless passionate individuals behind each individualartisan cafe - it's clear that they're truly dedicated to making great roasted beverages! Lincoln's life and times in Illinois are rich with history. He was born on December 12,1809, in a small town in Indiana, to a family of poor farmers. Lincoln attended school for one year before moving to Springfield, Illinois, where he worked as a clerk at the Sangamon County Courthouse. In 1832, Lincoln was elected as a Whig candidate to the United States Senate and served from March 4th until his death on April 6th of that year. After leaving the Senate, Lincoln became an unsuccessful Whig candidate for Governor of Illinois in 1848 and 1850. In 1858 Lincoln ran for President of the United States and won election as the 44th President of the United States. While serving as President, he enacted many important measures including Reconstruction in America following The Civil War (1861-1865). As president, Lincoln also faced significant opposition including Radical Republicans led by Salmon P. Chase who believed that he should have been impeached based on charges such as perjury and obstruction of justice. After his presidency ended, Lincoln returned to Springfield where he died on April 14th of 1865 due to natural causes at age 70 years old. His death marked an end to American history while also marking the beginning of World War II which would eventually consume more than 60 million lives worldwide.
