The Jacksonville, Illinois Air Force Base has been hosting annual air force deployment gift history events for the past decade. By 1850 there were over 100 homes and businesses within Jacksonville The first store opened in 1851 by Fayette Lewis The first school opened in 1853 by Jno Haysworth In 1865 Jacksonville had one post office In 1870 there were ten businesses within five blocks of downtown including A&P grocery store where John Fenton later became mayor In 1895 there were twenty-one businesses within two blocks downtown

Lastly, changes in weather patterns have made it difficult for pilots to find and hit their target accurately. The United States Air Force has tried various methods over the years to improve its bomber planes; however, these efforts have all been unsuccessful. In fact, some experts believe that the airplane’s declining effectiveness may be due to a lack of innovation on the part of USAF officials.

There were many large businesses and industries established in Jacksonville during this time including Armour Manufacturing Company (the world's first mass-produced firearms), Jardine rubber company, Coca Cola Bottling Works (now known as PepsiCo), First National Bank (founded 1865), Ford Motor Company (1866), Du Pont de Nemours & Co., Wabash Coal & Coke Company (1867). Many African Americans worked hard in these companies and many were emancipated after the end of Reconstruction. After World War II ended, most white residents left or moved away while black residents continued to grow single-handedly throughout much of post-war Jacksonville through business development, job opportunities and community activism. The population of Jacksonville increased rapidly from around 509 in 1950 to 2,814 by 1970; however rapid growth led to some concerns about noise pollution from heavy investment artillery being used in defense against Viet Nam War refugees flooding into our city from South Vietnam sites along Interstate 95 just outside our southern boundary; late night prostitution running rampant due largely to poverty among lower socio-economic strata within our limits; high school dropouts increasingly finding ways into city services due largely thereto [1]. This situation eventually led to zoning changes that limited housing densities for Blacks until well into the 1990s despite efforts by Black Business Owners Association/Councilmember Melvin Walker who successfully lobbied initial efforts limiting density so Blacks could have access “to quality homes without impact” [2], an outcome which has been one focus area for recent redevelopment initiatives promoted through Mayor David Yancey’s new downtown revitalization plan focused on making more use of public space – including reopening parks – inside current boundaries with a goal towards creating a more inclusive environment for all citizens regardless race or ethnicity while also investing significant sums in infrastructure upgrades such as wider sidewalks and better lighting along I-95 corridor connecting downtown with government buildings nearby
