However, The Old World Store left behind an important legacy: It was the first grocery store in Chicago that sold prepackaged ground coffee with its own branding (i.e., Old World Coffee). This gave shoppers an opportunity to purchase directly from Palmer whenever they wanted cups of their favorite beverage!
