Nicholson was an immigrant from Holland who had worked as a cooperator in England. The company became one of the leading coffee businesses in the United States. The Nicholson Coffee Company was later acquired by Daniel Cooley and renamed the North Side Coffee Company. Daniel Cooley was an entrepreneur and businessman who played a significant role in developing Chicago's coffee industry. He started several businesses including a grocery store and brewery. In 1912, he founded the Northwestern National Bank which became one of Chicago's largest banks.

Grayslake is a small town in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. The population was 6,683 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The village of Grayslake dates back to 1859 and was established as a hamlet on the west side of Grays Lake. The name "Grayslake" comes from the Swedish word "gräs", meaning 'field'. The village grew slowly until it became an incorporated village in 1903. In 1952, Grayslake annexed portions of neighboring unincorporated communities of Arlington Heights and Lombard. A post office called Grayslake was established in 1859, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1907. The first resident named Griggs settled here in 1859 with his family after moving from Illinois Rapids, Michigan Territory (now Northwestern Indiana). A store and gristmill were built here around 1860 by John Sillsen. In 1902, Drury College moved to Grayslake from Bloomington and opened its doors for undergraduate students. A new campus soon followed on the east side of the present-day town line across State Road 64/I-88 to serve both colleges concurrently; that same year also saw the opening of a gristmill by Wm Hildebrandt which continues to produce flour today as Kendall Mills Mill & Flour Company Ltd.. In 1912, Mrs Bevan donated land north of Route 124 for what would become Stritch School District No 1; this school building still stands today (alongside another elementary school) on that property adjacent to Interstate Highway 88 just south of Grays Lake Village limits - providing instruction for gradesinder through 12th grade since 1963! As more people began settling into this rapidly growing pocket community within commuting distanceof Chicago's publishing centers – retail businesses benefited too although they did not start popping up until after World War II – gridlock set in during those years due mostly to politics rather than lack thereof when expressways such as I-88 were being constructed nearby! One early mayor who presided over all this activity was Frank Jaffe who actually served two terms consecutively from 1951 thru 1957 before leaving for greener pastures elsewhere! This political gridlock finally ended following Harry Belafonte's appointment as Mayoralty candidate unseated by incumbent Al Capone some three years later; Belafonte ran unsuccessfully for re-election that year but returned immediately thereafter having learned much about public service while away! Some 30 years later most residents are now effectuated citizens who enjoy accessto basic necessities like water utilities etc., emailing or even texting their bills directly onto township government entities’ computers instead thereby eliminating long lines at township office hours!!!

Grayslake, Illinois was founded on October 15, 1827 by a group of pioneers who named it after General George Washington's home at Mount Vernon. The town grew rapidly during the 1830s, and by 1840 Grayslake had a population of 1,500 people. By 1850 Grayslake had reached 3,000 people and became an important stopping point for travelers on the Illinois River. In 1857 Grayslake was renamed to Chicago after the city's incorporation into the United States. The town experienced rapid growth in the 1860s when businesses developed around railroad transportation and trade. In 1870 Grayslake had 8090 residents and by 1880 it had over 26000 people. The town also experienced some industrial development in the 1870s with grist mills, paper works and breweries being built. However, these economic successes were short-lived and Grayslake lost its status as an important center of industry by the end of the decade. During World War I Grayslake played a significant role in supporting American troops fighting in Europe. After the war ended in 1918, many of the formerindustrial areas within downtownGrayslake were abandoned as factories closed down or were sold off to other companies. This led to a decline in population within downtownGrayslake and an increase in suburbanization throughout much of what is now north central Illinois. In 1991 Grays Lake merged with neighboring Hanover Park to form one large community called North Central Illinois Council on Aging (NCCOA). NCCOA has since made significant progress addressing aging infrastructure, creating jobs for local retirees, providing retirement living options for seniors, increasing access to education for elders through senior centers and wraparound services such as assistance with shopping mall malls; however there are still many challenges facing NCCOA including high rates of crime and lack of public safety concerns which have led to increased demand from residents for police service; however this trend appears to be leveling off or trending up slightly over time
