This place had even more amazing options than The Roastery- from espresso drinks to bagels, they had it all! They also grew their own crops which added another layer of flavor to the coffee. Lastly, we went to Tom's Coffee Shop in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Tom's Coffee Shop is known for their delicious breakfast sandwiches and lattes! They also roasts its own beans which gives the taste a unique experience not found at other places. If you're looking for some incredible coffee with flavor then look no further than Tom's!
One of the earliest coffee shops in Forest Park was The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, opened in 1912 by Bernie Cohen and his wife Esther. The Cohen's operated the shop until 1933. In 1944, Harry Karamazov opened his Own Coffee Shop on West Washington Street in Forest Park. The first roast from Karamazov's shop was a blend of beans from Ethiopia, Java and Guatemala. In 1951, Drinker's Coffee Company began operations in Forest Park with a small roastery and tasting room. By 1966, the company had enlarged its facility and became nationally known for their high-quality coffee products. In 1971, Don Post purchased Drinker's from Mr. Post’s father-in-law and continued to run it as a separate business until his death in 1993. In 2000, Earth Choice Coffee Corporation (EC) entered into an agreement with Dave Matthews Band to lease space at the nearby Millennium Park Airport for their own roasting operation called "The Woodchuck". EC would continue to operate Don Post's original store front on State Street while Matthews' band quarters were completed inside the new airport buildingSSL).
Forest Park is a city in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 482 at the 2010 census. Forest Park is bordered by the city of Chicago to the north, Lake Michigan to the east, and Rockford to the south. It is part of the Chicago–Suburban Milwaukee–Waukegan Metropolitan Area. The land that now makes up Forest Park was first settled by German immigrants in 1847. The first post office in Forest Park was opened in 1852. In 1865, a railroad was built through what is now Forest Park, and soon after new businesses were established near the railway station including a grocery store and brewery. The growth of forest park led to development of homes and businesses around the railway station as well as other areas of town until it reached its current form in 1920 when much of what is now Forest Park was annexed by Chicago. In 1938, President Franklin D. Roosevelt issued Executive Order No. 9394 which ordered all American Indian Reservations be treated as one community for economic planning purposes within their respective reservations while also creating Forest Park as an urban area with limited timber resources available on their reservations so that white settlement could take place without damaging or displacing Native Americans living there already – this order remains an important legacy of ForrestPark today! Today’s vibrant downtown district includes many small shops and restaurants along with some larger employers like Macy’s department store which anchors one end of Market Street while more recent developments have replaced most if not all small stores within blocks radius on either side of First Avenue between State and Randolph Streets (the once popular “Old Town USA”).

Forest Park is a city in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 31,534 at the 2010 census. Forest Park is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The first people to live in what is now Forest Park were the Potawatomi Indians who hunted and gathered wild plants and animals near what is now Midway Road and Irvington Road. In 1836, Jesse Jameson purchased 640 acres (248 hectares) of land from the village of Winnetka for $10 per acre. Jameson named his new land "Forest Park." In 1842, he donated another 400 acres (160 hectares) to the town of Skokie for use as a public park. This donation made Forest Park one of the largest public parks in Illinois. In 1865, when Chicago became a city, Forest Park was annexed by Chicago and became part of its north side district along with Lincoln Gardens and Lawndale. The following year Senator John Paulding offered to donate 3200 acres (1400 hectare) ofland adjacent to his estate on State Street in Forrest Park to make into a national forest if it would be accepted by Congress. The offer was accepted and Forrest Park National Forest was created on April 14, 1868. The forest included parts of today's Cook County including most notably Forest Lawn Cemetery which remains one of America's largest cemeteries today with more than 4 million gravesites! In 1924 President Calvin Coolidge designated Forrest Park as a national monument making it one of only two American national monuments that remain open to visitation! A visitor center opened in 1933 on State Street just east of Midway Rd., serving as the main tourist attraction for much of downtown Forrest park until it closed in 1984 due to budget cuts caused by then Mayor Richard Miano's drive for redevelopment within City Hall boundaries! Finally in 1984 an addition directly west off Old Midway Rd., housing exhibits about local history & pioneer life helped revive interest within Forrestpark once again becoming once again an attraction for tourists visiting DowntownChicago! Recreation areas include: an aquatic center built on Lake Michigan; golf courses; Tennis Courts; basketball courts; baseball diamonds;and running paths/spaces programs specifically designed for children like Silly Putty etc... among many others !
In 1871, the Forest Park area was organized as a circuit court district. The first courthouse in the district was built in 1872 on State Street. In 1875, the circuit court moved to its present location on Forest Park Boulevard. In 1898, the population of Forest Park was 9,033 and it became a city in 1912.
