The couple diligently searched for the best beans and roasted them themselves. They soon became well-known in the area for their delicious cup of java. Maga Coffee continued to grow in popularity over the years and by 2007 had reached its peak with over 100 locations throughout Illinois. In 2013, they closed their doors after many years of successful operation. However, their legacy will never be forgotten – maga coffee is still one of the most popular types of coffee in Illinois!

Des Plaines, Illinois is an unincorporated community in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The population was 3,856 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The name "Des Plaines" is derived from a French word meaning "plain." The first settlers were French traders and missionaries who arrived in 1818. They named their community after a hill in Normandy where they had been traveling with troops during the Napoleonic Wars. In 1824, the Illinois General Assembly passed a bill naming Des Plaines Township after Gen. James K. Polk, then secretary of state for Kansas and Missouri. The township was organized on November 3, 1825. In 1830, two brothers founded one of the most important early railroads in America when they began operating the Western Union Telegraph Company from Des Plaines Junction on the Mississippi River to Springfield, Illinois (now Springfield). One of these brothers became president of Western Union and later served as governor of Illinois; his brother continued as manager until his death in 1865. The village that grew up around Des Plaines Junction gradually lost its importance as railroad travel increased and passenger traffic switched to larger towns such as Chicago or Alton Heights closer to Interstate highways (I-294) and other large citieside destinations such as Milwaukee or St Louis Missouri (then known as Jefferson City). However, many local businesses remain active today including Main Street Pharmacy which has been open since 1922; IRS Tax Services; First National Bank & Trust - Sioux Falls branch opened on October 15th 1974; Prairie View A&M University's Nursing School opened its doors in 1949; Heritage Foods Produce store also operates off US Highway 14 near I-94 southbound exit ramp1 In recent years there has been an effort to revive interest in town by creating events like annual pumpkin picking festival/festivals throughout fall season along with cheese making demonstrations at several farms located within walking distance of downtown
