Of particular note is ISD 2’s La Vista Middle School which offers an excellent opportunity for students to participate fully in extracurricular activities such as band or choir before they reach 7th grade; this type of program allows children to stay enrolled even if they experience some turbulence during their early years at school. As one can imagine given its size and diversity Des Plaines provides plenty of opportunities for its citizens to get involved not just politically but also socially and athletically - helping contribute towards making it one of America's top 10 most diverse communities by 2020 according to Brookings Institution study " America’s Cities".
