Kapp was originally interested in creating unique cup-of-the-day brands that would be enjoyed by customers all over the United States. His first product was a blend of Arabica and Robusta coffees called Donny's Choice. The brand quickly became popular and continued to grow throughout the 1970s and 1980s. In 1992, Donny's son Daniel took over operations of the company and changed its name to Darien Coffee Company Incorporated (DCC). DCC continued to produce innovative coffee products such as their signature Breakfast Blend which is made up of two different types of beans: Ethiopian Robusta and Guatemalan Baguette. In 2001, DCC merged with another local coffee company, Presente Coffee Roasters LLC., which allowed them to expand their production into Illinois' largest city without any loss in quality or customer service. In recent years, it has become increasingly difficult for small businesses like Darien Coffee Company Incorporated (DCC) to keep up with larger companies who have more resources and personnel available at their disposal. As a result, demand for our unique flavors has plummeted while prices have increased significantly due to increased competition from larger businesses who can afford better equipment and marketing strategies.

The first coffee shop in Darien, Illinois was established in 1875 by George H. W. Smith and his brother-in-law, Ebenezer Fenton. The business continued to be run by the Fenton family until it was sold to the Schmitt brothers in 1916. In 1934, Harry J. Schmitt opened the first all-day coffee house in Darien with a store on Main Street between State and Elm Streets. The coffee shop was popular for its unique cup of Joe and for providing education about coffee culture to local residents. In 1951, Harry J. Schmitt's son, John A., opened the second largest coffee shop in town with a store at 4500 S Dearborn Avenue across from the KFC restaurant. In 1972, Harry J . Schmitt's widow, Lois Schluter bought the business from her son John A.'s widow Lois Schluter and reopened it as Lenin Coffee House which continues to serve delicious sandwiches today!
Darien, Illinois is a small town located in DuPage County, Illinois. The population was 2,752 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. Darien is known for its wide variety of industries and businesses including manufacturing, agriculture, retail trade and services. The village of Darien has two schools - Stephenson Elementary School and Darien Jr./Sr High School. There are also several independent businesses in the town center which include a post office, bank and health clinic. The history of Darien begins with its settlement by John Stephenson in 1847. In 1865 it became the county seat of DuPage County after being moved from Westville to this location. The present community was developed around the same time as other small towns in DuPage County - it first grew rapidly thanks to cotton farming and later became an agricultural center due to its rich soil and good water resources. Manufacturing played a significant role in early Darien development, with many local businesses catered to local needs such as shoeshine shops, farm supplies and automobiles until World War II when war production shifted to larger factories outside ofDuPage County. However, some aspects of local life remain unchanged - such as village elections which take place on Saturday evenings throughout the year (the "old school" system). Today Darien remains a vibrant community with strong cultural roots that continue to influence today's residents; many are natives or descendants of those who originally settled hereabouts during the 1800s-1910s period when industry boomed along with farmland values statewide due to increased demand for foodstuffs produced within Illinois alone! Despite recent challenges facing certain sectors of society (such as crime rates), overall economic stability has been maintained by steady growth in both retail trade (+14%) and professional/business services (+27%). As coffee enthusiasts we are always on the lookout for new and exciting ways to enjoy this/_ her favorite drink, so when we heard about a coffee shop in the heart of downtown that was specializing in artisan coffee we were intrigued. We visited the shop and fell in love with their delicious cup of java. The shop is called Roastery & Coffee House and it is located on Market Street just off of Federal street. The roast process begins with ground beans from all over the world, roasted according tostadthand method. After being sun-dried, this coffee is then ground into a fine powder before being added to hot water for brewing. The roastery has two floors including a kitchen where you can order your cup of java or tea and also provides seating for up to 30 people inside or outside on their patio. The roasted coffee is considered Mild-Medium density which means that it has some body but not too much flavor. It’s also medium grinded which gives it plenty of flavor without being too bitter or acidic. This type of roast usually costs around $8 per pound making it an affordable option for those who love their caffeine fix without breaking the bank. One thing that set Roastery & Coffee House apart from other artisanal cafes was their attention to detail when it comes to preparing their coffee drinks _. For example they use pure Arabica beans instead of blend beans which results in a more full-bodied taste and better aroma. They also use fresh milk rather than canned milk which creates a more delicate flavor profile _. Overall, our experience at Roastery & Coffeehouse was amazing and we will definitely be returning!

Darien, Illinois is a town in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. The population was 5,491 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago–Naperville– Aurora metropolitan area. The township was organized in 1837 and named for Daniel Darien, an early settler. The town was platted on February 9, 1837 by two brothers who were among the original settlers of DuPage County: George Wirtz and John Hinshaw. The townsite was surveyed on October 21st and it became a incorporated village on November 6th of that year. On December 3rd, 1839, the first post office opened in Darien with Solomon Mather as its first clerk. In 1840-41 there were six businesses in Darien with a total payroll of $527; these included three grocery stores (Jenny's Grocery & Meat Market, Girdle's Grocery & Poultry House, Holman's Theatre), two saddlers' shops (Fenway Smith & Co., Jensons Hardware), one millinery shop (Carnegie Woolen Mill), four livery stables (Hawkeye stable #1 – now First National Bank; Indianola stable #2 – now FirstMerit Bank; Osmond stable #3 – now Wheeler Implement Store) and two sawmills (Wm. Fenton & Sons). In 1843 Mr. Hinshaw built a log cabin which still stands to this day as the nucleus of what would become the town hall building known today as "The Old State House". This structure served as both local government center from 1843-1868 when it housed county courthouse until that building was replaced by new facilities at Park Ridge Cemetery located just east of town line in 1865-1868/69 due to overcrowding within Du Page County Courthouse facilities then being built at that location south near Rockford Heights where those functions currently take place under charter from DuPage County Board of Commissioners since 1967 including some added civic organizations like the Darien Historical Society also having their own building inside/within walking distance since 1959 adjacent to Millennium Park across Kane Road from Town Hall complex) On January 1st 1860 all villages withinDuPage County were annexed into newly created Cook Countys effective date although all buildings within those villages remained standing until they all burned down during Union Army bombardment while taking defensive positions around 1863-1865 following completion of Dubuque canal project primarily due to high cost overruns especially after Captured General William Tecumseh Sherman visited much earlier primarily because he wanted primary control over grain supplies emanating from central Illinois resulting in maximum pressure applied against Dubuque residents along river banks which resulted in extensive damage done to homespun crops stored therein prior to surrender following Battles at Peoria IL April 14 1865 becoming known as Black Hawk War or Tensas Expedition - note: All destroyed except Old State House which remains standing virtually unchanged today

By 1908, the population had reached 4500 people and it remains an important center for industry and commerce today.
