This donation has been continuously supported since then and is now one of the largest individual donations to the Coast Guard ever. In 1969, Mrs. Mary Ann Larkin donated an ambulance which was used during many disasters along the Illinois coastline including Hurricane Agnes. This donation has also been continuously supported and is now part of the National Museum of American History’s collection located at Cooperstown, New York where it stands as a testimony to America’s generosity towards its citizens during times of disaster. Today, there are numerous businesses that donate products or money towards helping support different aspects of coastal safety such as giving backpacks filled with donated items for search & rescue missions or monetary donations to fund community projects across Illinois! Crestwood is a small village in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 511 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The village was founded in 1868 by George and Sarah Crestwood as a result of their efforts to purchase land for a church and school. In 1888, the Crestwoods donated land to make way for what is now Crestwood High School. They also donated money towards construction of the current courthouse and library. In 1903, Crestwood became one of eighteen villages in Cook County that were merged into the city of Chicago. The crestwoods remain residents of Crestwood Village today and are involved with many local activities including playing on the varsity soccer team and heading up the historical restoration committee for their high school building which underwent extensive renovation in 2006-2007. The George & Sarah crestwoods were among those who led the effort to create Crestwood when it was first proposed in 1868- this included helping to buy 3 acres from John Strode for $165 ($ today) . Their donation would provide funds towards building a church (now known as Christ Episcopal Church), school, home economics classroom (later renamed Chestnut Hill Elementary), public square, library and more importantly - a cemetery! Even after all these years - there still remains an incredible amount of history associated with this village!

Crestwood is a small town in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,645 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The Crestwood community was organized on December 25, 1871 when six farmers from adjoining towns met at the home of John Lowry to discuss their proposed village named after a tree that grew in their respective lots. The first meeting plat was drawn up and approved by vote on January 2nd, 1872. The name "Crestwood" has been used since then and currently stands as the only official name for this rural community located just northwest of Chicago within Kane County. In 1907, an addition to Crestwood Township - later known as Crystal Lake -was developed adjacent to what is now Union Park in downtown Crestwood through the efforts of local leaders such as banker J.P. Shannon and his son-in-law Homer Cummings who had purchased land east of Crystal Lake from John Lowry for $10 per acre (2 ¼ acres). This addition would become one of Chicago's most popular summer destinations with its beautiful beaches and wide open spaces perfect for swimming and picnicking during the warm months. TodayCrystal Lake remains part of Crestwood Township while Union Park falls within the boundaries of Chicago's South Side neighborhood

Pemberton and his family as a small farming community on the east side of Chicago, Illinois. It became an incorporated town in 1903. In 1957, Crestwood merged with neighboring Village of Arlington to form the larger Crestwood-Arlington municipality which still exists today as a separate entity from Cook County.
