The Chatham Coffee Company was founded in 1892 by John and Jennie Chatham. The company operated out of a small shop on the corner of Elm and State Streets in Chatham, Illinois. The first beans were roasted in John's home kitchen. By 1903, the company had moved to a larger building on Wabash Avenue in Chatham. In 1912, the company became part of the National Coffee Association and began to export their coffee throughout the United States. In 1916, the company relocated to its present location on Old Hickory Boulevard in Chatham.
Chatham, Ill. is a town located in McHenry County, Illinois, United States. The population was 7,836 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The first Europeans to settle in what is now Chatham were French traders and fur traders who traveled through the area during the 17th century. In 1692, a group of English farmers named Greatfield started farming in what is now Chatham. They erected a log cabin on the banks of the Des Plaines River and soon developed into one of the most successful agricultural towns in Illinois. In 1827, Chatham became an organized township with a post office and school district. The community continued to grow as it became known for its beautiful graduates from various local colleges and universities who began commuting to cities for work during the early 19th century. During World War I, many Chatham residents served in military units including artillery, infantry and air forces; some also worked for their respective governments as scientists, engineers or government workers. After World War II ended, many families returned to agriculture while others built new homes and businesses around town. collisions between autos and cyclists have become increasingly common on rural roads throughout Illinois due to inadequate infrastructure that does not meet safety standards; however, no injuries have resulted from these crashes since 2007 when state representatives began working on legislation that would require mandatory bike-safe crossings at all intersections where vehicles cross roadsicketed by bicycle riders (the legislation has been renamed “Ride2Safe”). As of December 2017 there are over 200 Ride2Safeparticipating communities acrossIllinois alone!

It is interesting to note that these new roaster's focus on sustainable practices such as using natural flavorsings which helps keep the cup profile consistent over time while reducing environmental impact

Chatham is a small town in Richland County, Illinois, United States. The population was 2,869 at the 2010 census. Chatham is one of eight villages in the townships of Eden Prairie and Newton. The first white settlers in what is now Chatham arrived in 1839. Many believed that the area would be an ideal place to settle because it had strategic positions on rivers and other waterways. The village was platted in 1840 by Dr. John Fenton and James Murchison. It became a part of the Byron Township community when it was organized in 1868. A post office was established at Chatham in 1847, and remained open until it closed on July 6, 1970. The first store opened at Chatham in 1840; however, this store never functioned as a full-time business because of its location on the west side of Park Road across from the village square where most Village events were held. In 1862, two important events took place within the boundaries of present-day Chatham: First, General George Armstrong's Raid against Confederate forces destroyed much of downtown Byron Township; second, Union soldiers burned down many homes and businesses along Park Road during their march from Carbondale to Springfield to relieve supplies for General Ulysses S Hayes' army retreating from Richmond after Gettysburg.] In 1865 Union troops burned down what is now known as "The Grange"--a large farmhouse located just east of present day Main Street--in retaliation for several attacks on Union soldiers by local residents during that year's Battle of Peoria Bridge. As more people came to live near I-435 (now US 52), they desired closer access to shopping opportunities available outside of Chicago or other major cities; accordingly, By 1870 there were only a few residences remaining within the limits then defined for Chatham Village proper while mostevery house along Park Road had been either razed or rebuilt following days during which Sherman's Atlanta Campaign raged]. This reconstruction saw increased traffic due not only to increased manufacturing activity but also new residential development taking root around Loop 610 about two miles northwestward] On October 3rd 1870 Charles Trueblood donated land southeast corner Main & State Streets for use as a Masonic Lodge [the first building erected]; this property would later become known as "Trueblood Square". With continued growth over time – including annexation by neighboring Eden Prairie – Village boundaries gradually expanded eastward towards Interstate 435 until all but one block - main street between State & Elm Streets - were included within current day Eden Prairie Township Limits on January 1st 1902]. Today much remains unchanged from those early days including streets name signs still bearing original colonial names such as "Old Court House", "Greene Tavern", etc.; although no longer used forvillage purposes any longer], Despite some challenges faced during recent years such as population loss seen throughout Illinois due various factors such as economic recession and increasing suburbanization – overall population numbers have steadily grown over time with today’s 2K residents living nestled comfortably close together within an ever expanding community space]
