In 1978, Johnnie Neely's restaurant was sold to Lynn's Coffee & Tea Company who continued to serve oatmeal and bacon wrapped dates as breakfast items until 1984 when they closed their doors permanently due to lack of business opportunity. From 1978-1984 Lynn's Coffee & Tea Company operated under two different names: Johnnie Neely's Olde World Cafe And Grill and Lynn's Coffee Shop which is still open today as a family owned business with three locations in centralia Il., one located on State Street in downtown centralia and two located off of Highland Avenue on the South Side of town. In 1990, JBJ Enterprises Incorporated purchased Lynn's Coffee & Tea Company from its original owners for $1 million dollars making it one of the most successful small businesses ever bought by JBJ Enterprises Incorporated. As part of this purchase JBJ Enterprises also acquired all rights to manufacture pastries including Lynns Doughnuts which were formerly made at Johnnie Neely’s Olde World Cafe And Grill before moving production upstairs to their current location on Elm Street inCentralia Ill., where they have been since 2003! Centralia, Illinois is a town in Macon County, Illinois, United States. The population was 7,898 at the 2010 census. Centralia is part of the Springfield, IL Metropolitan Statistical Area. Centralia is named after nearby Clear Lake. The first white person to live in Centralia was John J. White in 1857. The town was platted in 1868 by a group of men led by James Mapes and Samuel Fenton. The first stores were built in 1870-71 on the east side of Clearlake Boulevard just north of what is now Main Street. A post office was established at Centralia in 1870 and remained open until it closed on July 14, 1907. The railroad arrived in Centralia circa 1887 when the Pennsylvania Railroad leased the Chicago & Northwestern Railway from its parent company, the Erie Canal Company. In 1888-89, construction began on what would become known as "The Loop", a system of tracks around central Crystal City that linked Chicago with western Indiana and points eastward including Buffalo and Detroit while providing local transportation for people living near Crystal City's large manufacturing plants and warehouses (the "loop").
