George Cary married Catharine McClintock on December 14th 1840 at Starling Tavern near Terre Haute Indiana His first childCatharine was born February 8th 1841 when he left for Canada with his second wife Catharine to join them in Toronto where he had been appointed as Superintendent of Indian Affairs under Sir John Atherton
