In 1969 AFSC activated its first jet aircraft – Northrop Grumman F-5E Tiger I’s – at Lackland AFB outside Houston TX as part of Project Eaglehorn which involved development of operational concepts for future fighter jets including delta wing design principles pioneered by McDonnellDouglas Aircraft Co., Douglas C-5 Galaxy Globemaster III Airliners being developed jointly by McDonnell Douglas Missiles Division (MDDS), Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems Division (LMSD)and Northrop Grumman Corporation’s Seawolf family of naval helicopter carriers that would provide an allweather maritime strike capability against surface targets or hostile submarines using long endurance airframes capable with discrete weapons systems such as Hellfire missiles carried aboard/deployed from dedicated Seahawk helicopters capable only with nuclear ordnance delivery systems / employing low level bombing effects against enemy ground targets or artillery positions ashore without exposing friendly forces or civilians to danger

Cary, Illinois is a small town located in McHenry County, Illinois. The population was 3,491 at the 2000 census. Cary is home to the Cary-Muncie Public Library and the Blooming Grove Cemetery. The town was first settled in 1837 by Isaac Cary and his family. In 1846, John Wesley Wright founded Wrightstown on the site of present-day Cary. The first post office in Cary was established in 1837. In 1849, the community became a village when it merged with other towns in McHenry County. By 1870, all of McHenry County had been organized into districts and Cary became part of District No. 2 because it was one of four villages within that district. On July 1, 1898, Barry Meeks platted what is now downtown Cary and named it after himself. That year also saw the opening of the railroad through this area which made agricultural production more profitable than before for local farmers and caused some growth within the community; however, most people still resided on farms until after World War II when industry began to grow here as well thanks to new transportation options such as automobiles and airplanes
Cary was founded in 1837 by a group of farmers led by James Cary. The town site was chosen because of its location on the Illinois River, which made it an ideal spot for a trading post. In 1840, James Cary donated land to the city and the first courthouse was built in 1841. The town quickly grew and by 1865, Cary had a population of over 1,000 residents. In 1870, the city added a public school and in 1886, it became the first city in Illinois to have electric lights. In 1902, Cary became one of the original cities in Chicago.
