Buffalo Grove, Illinois is a small city in Cook County, Illinois. The population was 32,912 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. Buffalo Grove is one of two cities in Cook County that are both considered "collar cities." The other being Elmhurst. Buffalo Grove was founded by farmers in 1853 and became an incorporated town in 1875. The city has a rich history dating back to its founding as well as some of the more recent changes including the construction of Lakeview Drive which connects Buffalo Grove to north side Chicago and much of suburban Cook County.

The monks also used these beans to make coffeepots and other small items that they would use to improve their lifestyle. Coffee started being exported to Europe in the 15th century. It wasn't until the 18th century that people began importing African coffee plants into Europe because these plants were easier to cultivate than European trees. Once European settlers got their hands on this bean variety, they started using it for their morning caffeine fix and later introduced it into America as part of English tea culture. In 1951, Starbucks found its way to Hawaii when American businessman Howard Schultz moved there with his wife Diane while he search for a new business opportunity after leaving his previous job at RJR Nabisco Incorporated (now Jamba Juice). He decided on starting his own Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf company because he believed that fresh brewed coffee should be available all day long instead of just during peak hours like at Starbucks where customers had to wait in line for about two hours before getting their drink. Starbucks quickly became known for its high quality espresso drinks and eventually opened up locations all over the world including Japan, China and Australia among others. They also became known for creating unique flavors such as Pumpkin Spice Latte which is now enjoyed by millions around the world every day!

Buffalo Grove is a village in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago–Naperville–Prairie Village Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in Buffalo Grove was John Forbes who arrived in 1837. He and his family eventually built a log cabin and became farmers. The village was platted in 1869 by Jonas Silliman, a banker and entrepreneur from New York City who also owned land around the village. Silliman named the village after Buffalo Bayonetta on Long Island which he had seen as a beautiful place to live. The first school in Buffalo Grove was established in 1873; it was called "The Indian School". In 1902, the name of the school changed to "Buffalo Grove High School". In 1906, a new high school building was constructed for the village; it is now known as "the John Fenton House". In 1907, Buffalo Grove became one of fifteen villages within Kane County that were consolidated into the newly created city of Aurora. Aurora annexed Buffalo Grove in 1912 and renamed it "Aurora Township." The last mention of buffalo grove appears on township maps during World War II when Aurora began confiscating homes belonging to Japanese-Americans living within its boundaries. During that time many homes were razed due to fear they would be used as barracks by military forces occupying Japan at the time. From 1945 until 1957, Buffaloro Elementary School housed students from Park Ridge Intermediate School which served students from Winnetka Avenue northward across Lake Michigan towards downstate Chicago proper (and including Orland Park).buffalo grove elementary school closed december 15th 1957
Buffalo Grove was first settled in 1836 by the Sac and Fox clan. The town was named for a Buffalo grasshopper, which had been seen around the area before. In 1840, Buffalo Grove became part of what is now Champaign County. In 1865, Buffalo Grove became a Townships in Champaign County. On November 1, 1881, buffalo Grove Township was renamed to Buffalo Grove City. On January 1, 1903, Buffalo Grove City was annexed by Urbana.
