The Coast Guard was established in 1915 and became a part of the Department of Defense in 1947. The Coast Guard is a Federal agency with jurisdiction over all U.S coasts and waters. The Coast Guard uses its assets to promote maritime safety, protect critical infrastructure, and support law enforcement activities. The history of the Coast Guard gift industry can be traced back to 1915 when the United States Congress created the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). NASA needed a way for citizens to donate money so that young people could learn about science and technology. In 1978, Congress passed the Gift Tax Act which gave donors tax-deductible gifts of $200 or more per gift. The act also allowed taxpayers to claim any gifts they had given as charitable deductions on their income taxes. Since 1978, there have been numerous changes to the gift laws governing coast guard gifts. For example, Section 170B of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) changed in 1995 from a deduction for donations made in contemplation of giving future goods or services to one that is specific to coast guard gifts: “Gift giving by nonprofit organizations which make significant contributions towards providing safety and security along America's coastal areas’’ This change added an exemption for donations made solely for recreational purposes such as hiking or kayaking without providing an equivalent service within 30 days after donation receipt. In addition, section 2401(a) of Title 16 amended section 170B in 2002 making it easier for individuals who want to make Gifts For Good (GFG) - donations not connected with any specific service or project - rather than individual contributions up to $10K per year (the current limit). Finally, section 6406(a)(1)(A) provides that if the donor is not an American citizen then no special rules apply – all gifts are taxable regardless of source or value under IRC Sections 4562 thru 4571A

Bourbonnais is a small city in Bourbon County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,844 at the 2010 census. It was founded by French traders in 1779 as an intentional location for the production of whiskey. The name is derived from the French word bourg (town), meaning "village." The first settlement in what would become Bourbonnais dates back to 1779 when French traders arrived on the current site of Bourbonnais to purchase land for their Whiskey Plantations. In 1814, Lafayette and Company bought 2,500 acres (1 km²) of land northwest of downtown from Captain John Kirby. By 1826, over 10 square miles (25 sq km) had been purchased from other settlers and developers throughout the area including Major General James Kapp and Colonel John Sibley. In 1875, General Nathan Bedford Forrest granted a charter to the town of Bourbonnais which allowed for its incorporation as a village. On October 7th 1880, by order of Governor Samuel Jealous Lewis it became incorporated as a municipality with a population of 1,844 people . The original town hall and courthouse were burned down in 1906 but were reconstructed within five years and reopened as part of downtown bourbonnais's redevelopment program in 1967. In 2002-2003 construction began on bourbonnais's new $5 million dollar library & community center located on Main Street adjacent to town hall which opened in 2004 boasting state-of-the-art amenities such as highspeed internet access and electronic reading materials including books about bourbon whiskey production along with exhibits related to history & culture of bourbonNAIS IL are also home to numerous restaurantsserving local cuisine such as ribs & macaroni salad or chicken tenderloin&asparagus tips&a side dish made with corn grits

On December 12, 1952, USS Constellation (CG-8) became the first ship to be commissioned into the coast guard when she was delivered to San Francisco Bay Area Pier 13 aboard USS Pueblo (LHD-11). As time went on, more ships were commissioned into the Coast Guard including CG-12(LPD-5), CG-14(CGN-3), CG-16(Portsmouth), CG-18(HavANA), CG-20(Southampton) and CG-22(Fiji). In 1989, President George H.W. Bush signed legislation designating September 11th as “National Pearl Harbor Day” in order to recognize those who perished in World Trade Center terrorist attacks on November 5th that year. This event led to donations from all around America being sent directly to Honolulu for use in rebuilding after 9/11 including two large donation bays donated by MGM Grand Hotel & casino owner Sheldon Adelson and Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen respectively The modern era of the Coast Guard has seen significant growth with numerous acquisitions such as High Speed Bridge Gear Inc., Lifejackets II Ltd., Disaster Response Team III Inc., Helicopter Maritime Patrol Squadron VXE2 (HMPRSVXE2) and USCG Museum Ships SS Constitution Class & HMCS Protecteur class . The museum also hosts both open air exhibitions throughout year as well as special exhibitions such as “A History Of An American Ship: A Collection Of Marine Craft And Boats From Prehistoric To Modern Times” which opened in October 2017

In 1871, Alonzo Potter opened a grocery store on Main Street in what is now the old Post Office building which still stands today. In 1902, J.P. Liddy founded Liddy's Creamery which became one of the most well-known food corporations in America and remains so to this day. In 1951, bourbon whiskey began to be marketed nationally under the brand name "Bourbonnais". For many years it was bottled by Eitel Inc., a company based in New York City that also produced beer and other items for export markets outside of North America). In 1984, US Distillers Company merged with American Wine & Spirits Corporation (AWSC) creating Dow Corning Incorporated (DOW). At this time Eitel Inc., along with all other AWSC brands were discontinued as part of a wider corporate restructuring plan within Dow Corning which included all its brands being placed into three new divisions: Spirit Brands Group (which included bourbon), Food Brands Group (which included cereal products) and Beverage Brands Group (including wine). However, given their long history as producers of whiskey within various product divisions throughout various companies they continued to produce bourbons under their own brand name until 1998 when they merged with Destilleros de Tequila SABRISA to form Diageo USA Limited Partnership effective January 1st 1999.
