Bensenville, Illinois is a small town in the northwest corner of Cook County, Illinois. It is bordered by Aurora to the north and west, Peoria to the east, and Carbondale to the south. The population was 9,851 at the 2010 census. Gourmet coffee first originated in Bensenville. The first coffee house in Bensenville was opened in 1887 by John Riddle and his brother-in-law Jeremiah Hillman. They sold coffee from a wagon on Main Street. In 1911, J. Alfred Sloan organized the Chicago Coffee Company and purchased the Riddle & Hillman company for $1 million dollars (equivalent to $102 million today). The first shipment of certificated beans arrived from Brazil on December 15th, 1911. In 1919–1920 Harry Kipper founded Harry's Coffee House on North State Street in downtown Chicago with help from his father-in-law George Wirths (Eddie) and uncle Julius Kipper (Kirk). At Harry's Coffee House, customers could purchase all kinds of items related to coffee - roasted beans, ground beans, tea bags - as well as newspapers and magazines which were delivered right to their doorsteps! In 1924–1925 Ephraim Levy began serving gourmet coffee at his newly opened Levy's Cafeteria located across First Avenue from City Hall – one of the earliest cafes in Chicago that served gourmet coffee! In 1927–1928 Harry Kipper’s son Kirk started serving gourmet coffee at Harry’s Café – now known as Grumpy Cat’s Cafe – on South Lake Shore Drive adjacent to Navy Pier; it became one of Chicagoland’s most popular tourist destinations! By 1930 there were over 20 different café locations serving gourmet coffee throughout Chicagoland! Today Grumpy Cat’s Cafeteria continues servegourmet coffee until around 11pm each night! In 1935–1936 Harold McGee founded Harold McGee's Coffee Shop on Milwaukee Avenue just north of Michigan Avenue – one of Chicago's most popular tourist destinations for its unique atmosphere combined with delicious cups of espresso! With an ever growing menu including both breakfast AND lunch selections McGees offered customers something for everyone!"

Bensenville, Illinois is a town in McLean County, Illinois, United States. The population was 25,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The first European settlers in Bensenville were French immigrants who founded a trading post in 1785 and named it "Bénévent". In 1814, Native Americans killed six white men and two women while exploring the area. The Treaty of Fort Dearborn ended the War of 1812 and ceded all of Northwestern Indiana to the United States. A mill was built in Bensenville by Nicholas Gales in 1825 and became one of the leading businesses in the community until it closed during World War II. In 1865, Jethro Gibbs opened a general store on what is now First Street just north of Michigan Avenue. He also started an agricultural cooperative which grew into one of Illinois' largest grain traders before closing its doors for good in 1923. Gibbs's granddaughter Grace started her own grocery store on Michigan Avenue in 1925; this business would become known as Grace's Grocery Company until it merged with Kroger Inc.'s Chicago Grocery stores late in 1992. The first post office at Bensenville was established on October 15, 1853, and was renamed "Neenah" after nearby Naheganon Township (now unincorporated). In 1860, David Hinkle began trading goods from his farmstead on South Third Street near present-day North High School; he named his store "Hinkle's", which remained open until 1984 when it moved to its current location next door to Walmart Supercenter. By 1870, there were 10 businesses operating out of town - seven groceries/butchers (Grace's included), three blacksmiths (two owned by Hinkle), one dry goods store (Jethro Gibbs'), one strap shop (owned by John Naylor), and four transportation services firms: stagecoach service(Thornburgh & Co.), hackney service(John Cramer), omnibus service(James Workman), and train service(George Roper). By 1890 there were 26 businesses operating out of town - twenty-eight grocery/butchers (Grace's included), five blacksmiths (four owned by Hinkle), four transportation services firms:, two dry goods stores (), one strap shop (), three automobile repair shops (), two hotels (),andone brewery (). By 1930 there were only twelve businesses operating out of town - ten grocery/butchers (), four blacksmiths ()and two transportation services firms (). To increase tourism opportunities for Bensenville during World War II many small companies such as General Electric hired local artists to create propaganda posters that decorated areas around town such as First Street or Main Street where military families lived or worked during war time. Many famous people from across America visited Bensenville including Franklin D Roosevelt who stopped at Grace’s Grocery Company for lunch on December 16th 1945 while touring strategy maps prior to his address before Congress . In 1954 dining options increased when Coca Cola purchased Knoppers Feeding Co., a feed company located southwest of downtown that had been serving residents since 1915; Knoppers would later become Coca Cola Bottling Company Midwest Distribution Center across I-94 from 2006 through 2016 after being sold off multiple times by CokeCo Holdings LP Random Access Memory CorporationChicago Sanitation District served as operator
