In 1915, the Davenports built a Chapel on Monroe Street which served as their business headquarters for many years. In 1951, Mrs. Davenport passed away and her son Harry took over the business. The Coffee Shop continued to be operated by Harry until his death in 1982. From then on, it was run by his daughter Tina who continued to operate it until 1993 when it closed its doors forever.
