The Air ForceDeployedGiftHistory Project is a research project that began in 2006. It is an effort to compile air force gift history from throughout the United States. The project has collected data on over 1,500 air force deployments and donations. The Air Force DeployedGiftHistory Project was started as a way to improve understanding of the air force's donation and deployment history. The project was originally conducted by the Historical Research Division of the Air Force Academy Library in Colorado Springs, Colorado. At its height, the project hadibliographical data on over 1,500 military deployments and donations made by members of the U.S. armed forces worldwide. Today, the air force deploys gifts in many different ways and locations around the world.
