The Twin Falls Coast Guard Museum has a rich history ofavalry and maritime gifts from the people of Twin Falls. The museum was founded in 1948 as the County Museum of History and Arts, and until its current location on the corner of First Avenue and 2nd Street in Twin Falls, it was housed inside the old county courthouse. In 1976, the city of Twin Falls purchased the building for use as their new municipal library. It wasn’t until 1998 that the museum moved to its current home on First Avenue. From 1938 to 1959, the Twin Falls Coast Guard donated two large sailing boats, called Larkspur II and Unicorn III, to be used by local police officers as law enforcement vessels. These boats were eventually turned into a community resource by being used for educational programs and public safety demonstrations. In 1980-1981, twin falls city officials donated three large lifeboats (called Starfish I-III) to be used by their fire department as rescue vehicles. In 1984-1985, University of Idaho students collected $5 from each purchase of items at any store within walking distance of campus to support university scholarships program known as “The Wiggles” (now known as The Varsity). This effort helped support many student initiatives during that time including art exhibits, food drives, and music concerts etc.). A year later in 1985-1986 another collection drive was conducted which resulted in donations from local businesses such as hardware stores along with 100% retail proceeds from sales made at these stores towards scholarship funds for future students at UI! That same year also saw the donation of two small sailboats – one called Seashell II which was given to Save Our Seashells Incorporated who then gave it back to the City of Twin Falls after using it for private events while located on Salmon Bay outside town limits! In 1992-1993 another small sailboat – Starfish I –was donated by ranchers Addison & Barbara Weingarten in order to help promote land management awareness issues affecting salmonid populations near their property line in Wasilla National Park! However this boat only lasted six months before being lost overboard when hitting rocks off shore while streaming across

Twin Falls, Idaho is a small town located in the Sawtooth Mountains of southeastern Idaho. The population was 5,583 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Boise metropolitan area. The community began as a trading post on the confluence of the Snake and Salmon Rivers in 1875. The post office was founded in 1876, and the first store opened in 1880. In 1907, it became a city and was renamed Twin Falls after both its location and its namesake river. In 1970, Twin Falls increased its population to 10,000 by annexing nearby Blackwater Airport. The city annexed other adjacent towns including Garden Valley and Hughes City in 1978; these towns had all been part of Twin Falls since 1907 when it became a city. Today, Twin Falls is home to two hospitals as well as numerous businesses and government buildings including the Idaho State Capitol building anddetermination Hall which houses twin falls high school (FHS). Twin Falls is a town in central Idaho, United States. The population was 3,844 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Twin Falls-based statistical area. Twin Falls has been home to humans and Native Americans for more than 9000 years. The first white settlers arrived in 1864 when they built a trading post on the confluence of the Snake and Bear Rivers. The town was platted in 1865 by John C. Frick and named after two falls, one on the Snake River and one on the Bear River. In 1870, George Stephenson built the first railroad through Idaho from Lewiston to Twin Falls, connecting it with Boise via an intermediate stop at Payette Valley. The town grew rapidly during this time as logging became an important industry in both towns. By 1904, twin falls had become a thriving commercial center with over $5 million in annual business activity! However, World War I interrupted these rapid growth rates and brought about some serious economic decline for Twin Falls; however, it slowly rebound afterwards Thanks to its key role as an economyhub during wartime – including helping feed soldiers stationed nearby – Twin Falls regained much of its lost wealth during peacetime prosperity overall The town’s founding story goes back even further though we only know about it anecdotally: One day three friends went into a store to buy flour because they were out of money from their last jobbing venture (aWhich would have coincided with their early 20s). They came across a man who told them he had just moved there from another small community upriver which had gone bankrupt; he offered them his house if they helped him run his business which ran successfully until he got sick and died suddenly young less than 2 months later (March 1865). His widow took over running her husband’s business while their son took care of everything else within sight thanks to local fisherman supplying enough food that nobody could starve! And so began what would eventually be called “the golden era” of Twins Falls as this woman managed not only her own household but also started marketing her hometown product far beyond what anyone else did back then- both materially AND mentally! She kept things vibrant financially despite all sorts of difficulties faced by other small towns throughout those days like floods & winters- something that continues well into our current day In 1948 two sisters decided to move downriver due to lack of opportunity near their childhood home (and because no one wanted to live around those Crazy Indians anymore!). They founded White Sands Dam downstream from where they lived and quickly proved themselves capable entrepreneurs running several businesses before turning their attention towards dam building themselves The construction process was long & grueling but ultimately successful given how advanced hydroelectricity really was at this point (& it wasn’t always easy getting people excited about such new technology outsideaday!) Once completed (& starting full throttle production just before WWII) & enjoying increased electricity prices thanks mainly theretofore unrivaled resources like coal & natural gas!, Twins Fallers finally got some good press too!: notoriety comes courtesy mostly of movies like “Steel Magnolias” which chronicled life within tho dam basin during prohibition (& other times too!), while also popular books like “Ender's Game” depictingpredicted future world events involving mega worlds controlled by human/alien hybrids……………. truly amazing stuff back then!!!

By the late 1800s, a small community had developed around the falls and power plant. In 1907, the town of Twin Falls was incorporated and began to grow rapidly. The fall season brought many tourists to Twin Falls, which led to increased business for the local businesses. In 1916, the first bridge over the Snake River linking Twin Falls with Caldwell County was built. This bridge helped make Twin Falls more accessible and popular with tourists. The economy of Twin Falls began to improve in the 1920s as it became an important hub for transportation in Idaho and western Montana. In 1938, a new electric power plant was built at Twin Falls and this helped increase demand for electricity in Twin Falls. By 1960,TwinFalls had become an important regional center for industry and commerce in western Idaho
