The mill continuedproducing high-quality coffee until it closed down in 1984 due to health concerns related to caffeine ingestion from working withroasted beans (1). Today, there are several cafes that offer fresh roasted coffee all around town including Starbucks®, Dunkin' Donuts®, Peet's Coffee®, Dutch Bros., Albertsons®, Subway®, etcetera. It's no wonder that this venerable commodity has become so popular over these years!

The first people to live in what is now Pocatello were Native Americans who hunted and gathered animal protein from local game. A small town began to form around this time with a few homes, as traders traveled through the area looking for goods to sell. In 1881, when Congress passed the Indian Removal Act, many of the Native Americans living in Idaho were forced out and took their animals with them. This led to some rapid development in Pocatello as businesses opened up that would provide employment for locals and help support growth in surrounding areas. In 1907, the city was renamed after General George Armstrong Custer during his American Civil War battle at Little Bighorn. The Battle of Little Bighorn was one of the bloodiest moments in Ulysses S Grant's life and helped lead to his ouster from power as President James Kenedy appointed Ulysses S. Grant's younger brother Abraham Lincoln instead. After serving two terms as President (1865-1869), Lincoln died suddenly on April 14, 1865 just days before his term expired and was not able to be succeeded by an official successor due to United States Constitution requirements that a new president be nominated by both houses of Congress before taking office on April 15th - he had been sworn into office on March 6th after being elected Vice President three months earlier under no such requirements set forth in law! Asincoln's death left little possibility for anyone other than Grant's older brother John Dixson (who had also been occupying Washington D.C.) to take office without having first been nominated by both houses -Grant became Acting President until Lincoln's actual burial occurred four days later on April 21st which confirmed John Dixson as Acting President until May 4th when Grant finally took office...George Armstrong Custer Memorial Park & Museumopened in 1907
