The United States Air Force deployed a gift basket of gifts to the people of Hayden, Idaho on Saturday, December 10th. The air force presented a variety of items to local residents in a fun and festive ceremony that was all about giving back. Hayden is located in eastern Idaho and is home to the Mountain Home AFB, one of the world’s largest nuclear weapons testing sites. This location also provides an excellent opportunity for the Air Force to give back by being involved in community events. On Saturday, December 10th, members of the USAF stationed at Mountain Home AFB participated in a ceremonial gift presentation event at Hayden High School. A variety of items were given out during this event including military clothing, Tools for Towing Aircraft and Vehicles, toys for children and even some delicious refreshments! It was great to see Air Force personnel from all over come together to share their love for our country with local residents.

The United States Air Force has deployed a number of gift histories in Hayden, Idaho over the years. This history starts with the USAF's first Gift History Office in 1947, which was opened to administer military supplies and equipment to airmen stationed at nearby Fort Sill. The office grew steadily over the years, becoming both an administrative center and a source of much-needed morale support for the troops. In 1957, the Air Force established its own gift shop within Base Headquarters in Hayden. This store became one of the most popular on base, as it offered unique and valuable military gear and items unavailable anywhere else on base. In 1979, Base Headquarters moved from its original location within Camp Casey to what is now called Building 8A on Signal Hill. Here, AFGHANISTAN HANDBOOKS became one of the most popular gifts ever given by the USAF. The store continued to be operated by Base Headquarters until 1992 when it was placed under new management and renamed AFGHANISTAN GIFT SHOP LLC. Since then, AFGHANISTAN GIFT SHOP LLC has become one of the most important sources of military gifts on base for both members and visitors alike. Through their efforts, they have donated more than 2 million items to AFBHannan alone!
Hayden, Idaho is a small town located in the Boise Valley and has been around for over 80 years. Hayden was founded by pioneer fathers, who were looking for a new home to settle in after moving from California. The town was originally named North Idaho and changed to Hayden in 1916 because of the construction of the Hoover Dam. Hayden is known for its agricultural products such as potatoes, hay, corn, apples and other fruits and vegetables. In addition to its farming industry, Hayden also operates an ice cream parlor and a post office. The town has a population of about 1,500 residents and it is part of the Boise County School District.

The first Gift History exchanges took place at Lackland AFB, Texas between both branches of the military. From then on, USAF units all over the world participated in G-E-B-T programs. Today, USAF personnel from across America and around the world receive special gifts during many different holidays. Some of these gifts are unique; others are more common but still very appreciated. Here is a look at some air force deployed gift history through time: 1954 – The first gifting initiative within the USAF was established with the order by Commanding General Curtis LeMay to establish a gift exchange program within the organization. This led to regular Gift History exchanges taking place between both branches of our military which continue to this day! 1981 – The first USAF unit to participate in G-E-B-T was an F-15 Eagle squadron from Elmendorf AFB, Alaska! All USAAF units were required to participate in this program as part of Operation Homecoming festivities marking USA's return home after nine years occupation by Japan! 1996 – It wasn’t until later thatOperation Goodwill ambassador/Gift Basket Programmer/ Doctrine Master Colonel Jay Ausubel became involved withGFTP as it continued expanding into other branches of our military including law enforcement agencies! Today GFTP oversees over 375 separate gifting initiatives throughout our Armed Forces!

Hayden is a small town in the Snake River Valley of western Idaho, United States. The population was 2,726 at the 2000 census. Hayden is part of the Boise metropolitan area. The first known inhabitants of Hayden were Paleo-Indian people who hunted and gathered game in the area for subsistence. The first European to visit Hayden was Captain George Vancouver on his mapping expedition in 1792. In 1877, A.D. Stevens founded what would become Boise University in Hayden and it became one of the most important educational institutions in Idaho after becoming statehooded in 1907. In 1906, Harry Waddell homesteaded land east of town on the south side of Snake River where he built an Adobe Walls home which still stands today as a museum and tourist attraction called Waddell Manor Museum & Research Station (WAMR). In 1911, Hayden incorporated as a city with a population of 711 people under Mayor Condon’s leadership; this was followed by further growth until its peak during World War II when it reached its present size with 3,837 residents living inside city walls and another 1,267 outside them within agricultural or rural areas adjacent to the city limits. Since 2001, much attention has been paid to redeveloping downtown Hayden into a vibrant center for cultural production and retailention that can draw residents from all over central Idaho; however much work remains to be done before downtown becomes an attractive destination for tourists or周边地区人们的便利店。
The Hayden, Idaho community was founded in 1907 by two brothers, George and John Hayden. The Haydens were the first residents of Hayden Valley. In 1917, they moved to what is now called the West Side of Hayden Valley and built the first home there. They continued to live in the West Side until their death in 1951.
