The Coast Guard has been in existence since 1907. The first coast guard station in Caldwell was established on the banks of the Snake River. The Coast Guard began providing services to the community of Caldwell in 1927. In 1938, the Coast Guard Station moved to its current location at Northeast 2nd Street and 27th Avenue NE. Since then, the Coast Guard has provided a wide range of services to those living near and across the Snake River. Today, the Coast Guard provides much needed assistance for both local communities and individuals who live along our nation's coastline. From rescuing sailors who may have lost their way, to patrolling our waters for smugglers and other illegal activities, the Coast Guard is always working to keep you safe!

The Caldwell, Idaho Coast Guard Station was established in 1927 as the first Coast Guard station on the western United States. The station relocated to its current location in 1951 and has been providing law enforcement and emergency services along the Idaho coastline since then. In 2001, the Coast Guard Station renamed itself the Caldwell-Boise County Sheriff's Department after a donation from Boise County Sheriff David Boren.
Caldwell, Idaho is a small town in the Boise Valley located just south of Boise City on State Route 20. The population was 5,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the 208th Legislative District and covers an area of 26 square miles (67 square kilometers). Caldwell is one of two towns in that district; the other being Nampa. The name "Caldwell" first came to be used by early pioneers who called this spot "The Meadows." The first post office was established in 1887, and Caldwell became a city in 1907. In 1919, it merged with nearby Nampa to form a new city. That merger failed to bring much excitement because both cities were very small and had few amenities. But things began to change when Caldwell Mayor Clarence Wickersham founded the Caldwell-Nampa Chamber of Commerce in 1961. This organization soon became one of the most powerful in east central Idaho because it could donate land for business development and invest money into local businesses. The Chamber also helped bring new life to downtown Caldwell by creating several parks and gardens as well as erecting many buildings such as the old courthouse which now houses offices for government entities such as county commissioners, state legislators, and others. Today, even though there are only about 350 residents living in downtown Caldwell, the Chamber still manages to keep things active by hosting events like art shows and music festivals throughout the year. And despite its small size, Caldwell has managed to stay afloat through tough times by investing its money into various projects such as building a new library or expanding its recycling program

Caldwell was founded by David Caldwell in 1874. The town was named after him because of his donation of land for a school and post office. The first store opened in Caldwell in 1875. In 1895, the first farmers market was held in Caldwell. By 1910, the population had reached 1,000 people and the town had a library and a telephone system. In 1925, Caldwell became an actinidetown when it joined the United States. It is now one of the fastest-growing communities in Idaho with over 6,000 residents as of 2010. The early years of Caldwell were very auspicious for its development as a small community: David Caldwell donated much land to make way for schools and businesses; he also built himself a home on this property which he used as his headquarters until his death in 1915. After David's death, his wife Alzina took over management of the home and business holdings within the community while her son John ran things from there during her lifetime until he died young in 1949. John's successors organized their affairs slowly but surely through succession meetings until they finally named themselves "The Board of Trade" after amalgamating many local businesses into one entity under one roof (a move that signified progress). This group continued managing everything from buying groceries to marketing events until 1967 when electronic mail replaced postal service so all transactions ceased - effectively disbanding what had once been an important part of life within the small town core - leaving just locals to transact business offline anyhow! Today everything still happens this way; you can still go into most stores and find items that have been kept behind closed doors since those days! John's descendants continue running things today although they are no longer called The Board Of Trade...
Caldwell was founded in 1907 by George W. Caldwell, a rancher and banker from the town of Latimer, Idaho. The town was named after Caldwell's father-in-law, David Waddell. In 1911, Caldwell became one of the first towns in the United States to be established as a dry county. At its peak in 1920, the population of Caldwell consisted of 581 people. In 1924, Caldwell became part of the newly created Clark County and remained an unincorporated community until it incorporated as a city in 1959. The city was renamed after Interior Secretary Albert B. Fall (1902-1981) and is located on the east side of Boise Valley between I-5 and State Highway 82.
