In 1938, a group of coffee professionals founded The Coffee People, which is now known as Roastery Coffee Company. This led to an increase in artisanal coffee production throughout the country. Today, there are many different types of artisanal coffees available online and in stores. There are more than seventy-five small roasters who produce over two thousand different kinds of bean roasted fresh every day. Many cafes continue to use single origin beans even though this may not be 100% sustainable due to the high water usage needed for roasting these beans. However, with such a wide variety of specialty coffees available, it is difficult to determine which one is best for you personally.

Ammon, Idaho is a small town in the Snake River Valley of south-central Idaho. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is the home of the Ammon School District and the headquarters for Rickenbacker Air Force Base, one of several military installations in central Idaho. The first humans to live in what is now Ammon were Paleo-Indians who hunted game and gathered plants and mushrooms near present-day Boise and Malmstrom Air Force Bases. The area around present day Ammon was occupied by the Shoshone people from 1000 BC to 1840 AD. In 1885, J.D. Payne purchased Rancho de las Indias (now part of City of Boise) on east side of Snake River from James Haughton for $5 per acre, land that would eventually become Ammon County. In 1901, George Fenton organized what would become known as The Gilded Age Coal Mines Company which mined coal at various sites within what is now Ammon County including Clearwater Hill Mine and Three Forks Mine near present day Daylesford. He also established a mill here called "Fenton's Mill" which continued until 1902 when it burned down due to an overloading engine caused by some faulty construction work nearby on neighboring property belonging to Fenton's company partners Harry Winton & Co., Incorporated! As early as 1892, there were rumors that silver had been discovered in this area but no definitive proof existed until 1903 when prospectors found payable silver veins in an area just north of today’s city limits known as “Butterfly Canyon” Nevada Gulch! From then on things quickly got active with claims being made along all sides of the Snake River Valley where mining could commence including: Elk Creek vein (northwest corner), Butternut Creek vein (southwest corner), Knob Creek vein (east side), Strawberry Flat mine (southwest corner), Sinkhole Gulch mine (east side) – making this one interesting place to be!). Today we can still see evidence left behind from these days long ago when today’s residents enjoy exploring these areas either through exploration or tourism - something that has always been important hereabouts!
