According to coffee historian and Waycross resident, Donny Ziegler, one of the first coffee shops in Waycross was Coffee & Tea on Broad Street. The shop served a variety of roasted beans from around the world and advertised itself as "the best place to buy coffee in town." By 1892, Coffee & Tea had been replaced by First National Coffee Co., which is still in business today. In 1898, First National moved its operations to what is now known as Checkerboard Row Shopping Center. There they opened the first grocery store in Waycross with a section for coffee. In 1912, First National merged with another Atlanta-based company, J.B. Lillie Company (later renamed Peet's). This merger made First National the largest coffee house chain in the United States at that time. At this point, many of their stores were located throughout Georgia and Alabama. In 1922, First National merged with Roquefort Corporation to form Roquefort America Corporation. This merger made Roquefort one of the most popular cold drinks available on Earth. In 1945, First National announced it would close all its stores effective December 31st due to difficult financial times within the industry overall. The company continued operations under new ownership until 1983 when it filed for bankruptcy reorganization and ceased operations altogether
Waycross is a small town in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 3,851 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Waycross is located on the brow of a hill overlooking an agricultural valley and has one of the most significant early cotton plantations in southern Georgia. The town was founded in 1824 by Captain James Cook as a trading post on the Savannah River. In 1828, Waycross became a stop on the Underground Railroad because it was too dangerous for slaveholders to keep their slaves here openly. After Union victory over Confederate forces in 1861, many freedmen and their families moved to Waycross and other nearby towns during Reconstruction. After World War II, Wayross experienced rapid growth due to its proximity to Interstate 285 and its role as an industrial center for textile production. However, recent economic decline has led to some local protests against high vehicle emissions standards set by state legislators; these protests have been successful in forcing change at the state level but not yet at the national level.

From this start, espresso became known as “ Wolfe's Coffee” or simply "Jamaica". Java beans were expensive at the time so most soldiers only consumed a small quantity each day. However, because espresso is such an stimulant it gained popularity among American troops fighting in Europe during the Napoleonic Wars (1793-1815). The first commercially successful espresso machine was created by Angelo Morioni in 1859 (Trevor & Hunt). While there were other machines manufactured prior to this time, none came close to duplicating what Angelo Morioni produced. His machine featured a groupHEAD principle which allowed him to produce high-quality cups Of joe quickly and easily at home without having to go through an entire café setting up shop like most people did at that time. Other early pioneers in the industry included Giovanni Battista Bormida who invented the cappuccino maker in 1797 and Luigi Beccaria who developed tiramisu in 1799 (Kahneman). Finally, Carlo Fabbri developed what is now called cortese coffee on December 5th 1870 while working for Italian railway company Trenitalia (Fabbri)). While there have been many advances over the years with regards to technology and brewing process - espresso remains fundamentally unchanged since its inception! Waycross is a small town in central Georgia, founded in 1801. The town was named for its location on the southern border of what is now Alabama and Mississippi. Waycross grew quickly as a post-Revolutionary frontier town, becoming an important stop on the Underground Railroad. In 1878, Waycross became the capital of newly created Atlanta County. It has since become a shrunken community surrounded by suburbs and farmland. The history of Waycross begins with its founding as a small frontier settlement near present-day Mobile, Alabama. The area that would become Waycross was heavily settled by American Indians during the early 1800s, and many of these settlers were Creek Indians who had fled to this area after being forced out of their traditional home in Tennessee. By 1801, most of these pioneer settlers had moved to what is now Waycross due to land grants from President James Kenedy. This initial growth helped contribute to the development of Waycross into one of the most vibrant small towns in Georgia during its early years. In 1878, when Atlanta County was created from parts of two previous counties, Waycross became one of the county's first official jurisdictions. Soon after, the Town Council began developing plans for its new cityscape which would include a courthouse and jail; this addition helped spur further growth within the soon-to-be burgeoning community known today as Waycross Heights. By 1890, however, population levels had plateaued at around 500 residents and various businesses had been established in order to support this steady influx of newcomers; however, it wasn't until 1907 that another major change occurred within Wayross when architect Wm Hargrave designed and built what is now known as First Baptist Church – serving as both a centerpiece for local life and also providing stark contrast against surrounding farmhouses dating back to earlier eras in the town’s history. One significant event that took place during this time period came about through entrepreneur John Sledgehammer who purchased 2/3rds interest in First Baptist Church from architect Hargrave for $1 million dollars cash – making him one half owner with fellow civic leader Wm Fenton Welch – creating what is now considered one Of The Most Significant Properties In MetroAtlanta History (MIAHP). Shortly thereafter Sledgehammer donated much land adjacent to First Baptist Church property which served as his business district; this once again provided ample commercial potential for locals throughout way Cross Township including nearby Marietta where he resided at 611 Fourth St., later renamed Ponce City Hall after his donation which led Mr
