The United States Air Force has a rich history of deploying gifts to friends and partners around the world. From greeting cards and small items to larger items like jets and helicopters, the USAF has always been able to show its support by providing unique gift experiences. One of the most well-known USAF gift traditions is the deployment gift exchange. This event occurs annually during National Defense Forum (NDF) in December and January in honor of America’s military service members. Participating units from all over the globe send gifts to their counterparts at Air Force bases all over America. The idea for the deployment gift exchange originated with then-Lt. Gen. James Mattis, Director of Central Command (CENTCOM). At NDF, Mattis wanted his commanders from CENTCOM’s Theater Area Commands (TAC) to share Christmas with their counterparts in Russia and Europe on a personal level. He wanted them to know that they were not alone in this holiday season – we cared about them! Since its inception, the deployment gift exchange has become an important part of USAF culture. It allows commanders from all over the globe to connect with their friends and colleagues on a personal level, offering an unique opportunity for networking and cooperation during difficult times. In addition, it provides units with a valuable opportunity to express gratitude for everything they have received in life – from service medals and commendations to camaraderie and support systems – all while sending a positive message about American democracy overseas!
The USAF deployed gift history in 1945. Gift history began as a way to remember military members who had passed away and their families. The program became more formalized in the 1970s, when it was renamed the Military Family Association's Soldier and Service Award Program. In 2003, the Military Family Association changed its name to the National Defense Foundation to reflect its broader goal of improving military family relationships.
Tifton is a city in north Georgia on the Chattahoochee River. It was founded in 1802 by settlers from Tennessee, and became an important cotton center. The city was annexed by Atlanta in 1886, and today is the economic hub of Atlanta. Tifton's history can be traced back to 1802 when pioneers from Tennessee arrived in what is now northeast Georgia to start a new life. They named their new community after the town of Tivoli, Italy, which they had seen while traveling through that country on their way to find new land. The first permanent settler in Tifton was John Cobb, who built his home on the current site of downtown in 1806. After a few years, other pioneers also moved into the area and began building homes and businesses. In 1809, Cobb purchased 640 acres (2500 hectares) along the Chattahoochee River east of present-day Tifton for $5 per acre (0.24 hectare). This land would become one of Tifton's most important assets – it would be used for agricultural production as well as becoming part of Atlanta’s early development. In 1860, during the American Civil War, Confederate forces attacked Union troops at Fort Sumter near Savannah harbor; this event set off a war that lasted more than two years and left over 600 dead including many residents of Tifton. Despite this tragedy, however, many people continued to live and work in town during this time – some even settle down there after the war ended. By 1865, when Atlanta became an independent United States state following Reconstruction following the Civil War, much of what remained of Chattanooga had been destroyed by Sherman’s army during his campaign against southern rebels. As a result of all this destruction and loss – especially withinAtlanta itself – many people decided to move away from downtown areas towards rural areas around town or outside it altogether。 Despite these challenges posed by post-war Reconstruction period living conditions throughout much of America., people returned to downtown Tifton beginning in earnest after World War II began…..Today Downtown remains one OF THE most important cultural & commercial centers within Atlanta !!!
