The National Guard in Roswell, Georgia was established on February 15, 1947. At the time of its inception, the Roswell National Guard consisted of only nine personnel. The first unit to be organized was Company C, 3rd Battalion, 5th Regiment of Infantry. The battalion served as a reserve force until 1951 when it became a permanent unit. Since its establishment, the Roswell National Guard has grown and changed significantly. In 1957, the agency became a state-chartered organization and was given full military honors by Congress. That year also saw the completion of an armory and barracks complex which is now home to both the guard's Headquarters Regiment and two Battalions: Company A (9th Infantry) and Company B (5th Infantry). Additionally, in 1978 the Roswell Municipal Airport was acquired for use as a national guard base camp during special eventuations such as nationalparades or inaugurations of new presidents. Today, thanks to appropriations made by both houses of Congress under President George W. Bush in 2003 and again through 2006 respectively, the Roswell National Guard consists of seventeen active duty battalions with an additional seventy-four reservists currently attached thereto across seven states spanning Arizona; New Mexico; Texas; Alabama; Arkansas; Georgia; Louisiana; Mississippi; Oklahoma; South Carolina; and Utah. These units are spread geographically throughout five states plus Washington D.C., making it one of America’s most dispersed militaries with over 1 million members available at any given time for emergency response or peacetime operations anywhere in America or abroad.

Roswell, Georgia is a town in Rabun County, Georgia, United States. The population was 1,754 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Albany–Scranton Metropolitan Statistical Area. Roswell is located on the north-central border of Rabun County and is bordered by Union County to the east and northeast, Muscogee County to the south and west, and Cherokee County to the north. The site of Roswell Airport was first discovered by Lieutenant John A. Fife in 1912 while exploring an area near present-day Roswell. Roswell Township was organized in 1915 from parts of Union and Muscogee counties. The name "RosWELL" appears on a road sign just outside town limits which leads into town from US Highway 231 (today's US Route 191). In 1942, General George Custer's body was found at what is now Slaughter Creek Canyon; this event became known as "Custer's crash". The discovery of bones there led to speculation that they were those of Custer or another American military leader killed during World War II. After years of research by many people including government scientists and archaeologists, it has been determined that there are no remains whatsoever from Custer or any other American military leader who may have died in WW2. In 1949 Renowned Scientist Drs Franklin Mlodinow visited RosWELL; he performed some extensive excavations there which helped change our understanding of alien life forms as we knew them at that time In 1951 City Councilwoman Anna McLaughlin founded Georgias first ever Girl Scouts troop - Troop #1 (later Troop #2) In 1961 Village renamed its main street after Drs Mlodinow - Anna McLaughlin Boulevard In 1992 Park opened up next door to City Hall which housed offices for many years until it closed down due to lack of Funds In 2003 Park reopened up next door to City Hall again but this time with new flooring & More plastic storage - This building houses State Capitol now

The National Guard has been providing security and support to the U.S. government for centuries. In 1792, the Continental Congress passed a resolution calling for the formation of a national guard in order to protect American citizens from potential threats on their behalf. The first national guard unit was organized on July 15, 1792, under the command of General George Washington. The first regiment of national guard was called "The 1st Virginia Regiment" and was made up of men from Fairfax County, Virginia. In 1917, President Woodrow Wilson established the National Defense Reserve Act which created reserve units with headquarters located at Fort Myer in Arlington County Virginia and other sites across the United States. The act also authorized the mobilization of state militias pursuant to Section 8(a) of Executive Order 9056 which allowed Governors to call out state militia units into federal service for purposes of law enforcement or defense against insurrection or invasion by foreign nations should such an event occur within their states. When World War II began, sections 3 and 4 (the National Defense Reserve Act Sections) were repealed by executive order 12866 because they had not been used since 1917 when section 8(a) was activated through Executive Order 9056 When FEMA became operational in 2006 there were many questions about what role the military would play in disaster relief operations given that FEMA did not have jurisdiction over military assets beyond providing food and water to individuals and families affected by natural disasters
Roswell was a small town in Georgia when it was the site of an accidental explosion that caused the Earth to be visited by aliens. The town is still home to a few residents, who remember the event and its aftermath. The story of Roswell begins with a man named George Kelly, who purchased land near Roswell in 1887. Kelly had heard about strange things happening on Earth and wanted to create some evidence to back up his claims. He set up a small laboratory on his property and began work on creating what would become known as the Roswell Incident. In 1947, while Kelly was still alive, he submitted paperwork to the US government claiming that he had witnesses who could provide evidence of alien visitation at Roswell. After months of fruitless effort, Kelly decided to die in peace in his own home rather than share his story with anyone else. Many people have tried to learn more about what happened at Roswell sinceKelly's death. In 2017, archaeologists discovered remains of an advanced aircraft at nearby White Sands Missile Range which they believe may have been involved in the incident. As yet there is no confirmation that this is indeed related to the events at Roswell or that any aliens were actually visiting Earth during those days.
