There are also many smaller ponds and gardens inside the orchard as well as on surrounding property. The peach orchard was once one of the most important sources of income for the townspeople. Today, however, it only produces a fraction of what it did when it first began production 50 years ago. However, it still remains an important part of Riverdale's economy and culture. In addition to being an important source of income for some residents, river valley also offers plenty else for tourists to see including architecture from early 1800s up until present day which can be seen at The Orchard Museum located inside the old post office building on Main Street in Riverdale proper as well as at several other locations throughout the community such as Ponderosa Park on Southside Drive NE across from Spaulding Elementary School where much later Gone With The Wind was shot; and White Sands National Monument just outside Ofallon which features both pre-Revolutionary War Native American ruins 3 miles long along Interstate 285 between Roswell County Road 5 (exit 281) northeast of Ofallon Municipal Airport (I-285 & GA 301), allowing visitors access not only to view ancient ruins but close up views too!

The MCF was founded in 1942 by then-Marine Lt. Col. George Sledge as a way for Marines to give back to their community. The MCF has given back more than $1 billion in grants, donations, and services since its establishment. In recent years, the Corps has also started sendingimental items such as "The American Flag with Two Blue Stars" dolls to troops deployed overseas- something that Reflects on our country's military service and sends a positive message home.

In 1916, Julius Rosenwald donated land to establish Rosenwald Elementary School which today remains one of the leading educational institutions inRiverdale. During World War II, many local civilians volunteered their time and effort to help provide essential services such as cooking food for troops stationed throughout Georgia. One such individual was Mrs. Hattie King (1906-1994), who worked at her husband's printing shop across from Central High School until her death in 1994; she is credited with helping create an intimate community spirit that still persists today within Riverdale."
