The Richmond Hill Air Force Base was founded on September 17, 1948. The base is located in north Fulton County and is one of the busiest airfields in the Georgia Air National Guard. The base has a main headquarters building, three wings including an operations wing, a munitions Wing and a research Wing. It also has two fighter pads which are used for training purposes. Additionally, the air force also leases four other fields within the community of Richmond Hill for use as military airspace. In 1957, Georgia Congressman Floyd Proctor visited RHCBF and impressed upon its commanders the need to provide more space for their equipment and personnel. In 1969-1970, RHCBF received new Hangar #1 which doubled as both a Weapons Storage Building and Aircraft Maintenance hangar allowing the station to house up to thirty-six planes at any time. By 1978, they had acquired another hangar - Hangar #2 - which became their Aircraft Maintenance Repair & Overhaul hangar allowing them to service not only their own planes but also those of other USAF units stationed at RHCBF. In 1990-1991, RHCBF received an addition that would change their landscape forever; Hangar #3 became theirFlight Operations Training Facility (FOTF). This facility allowed pilots from all over the country access to learn how to fly airplanes like F-15C Eagle Strike Fighters or E-4B Talons being flown by CFM jammers from nearby Douglas Elmendorf AFB . From here they could be used in real world combat situations such as Operation Desert Storm or Operation Jaguar I where they were put into action against Iraq's Scud missile batteries while under cover of darkness. Since 2001 when it opened its doors again after renovation it has been home to USAF’s 4th Airlift Squadron providing airlift services throughout southeast Georgia . Today this squadron provides direct support for military installations worldwide including Kandahar Airfield Afghanistan where they have served since 2014 and my recent deployment to Incirlik AB Turkey where we will be flying humanitarian aid into until May 10th 2017! They have kept up with modern technology by having intercom capabilities within each airplane so everyone can communicate without having headsets on! This allows us passengers who may be uncomfortable with hearing someone behind them during takeoff or landing

Richmond Hill is a small town in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 1,352 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Richmond Hill is located on the border of Fulton and Cobb Counties. The north side of town straddles the Paulding River and forms a divide with neighboring Johns Creek. The first people to live in what is now Richmond Hill were members of the Cherokee nation who migrated from East Tennessee to this region in the late 18th century. In 1795, following a treaty between Georgia and Cherokee chiefs, most of eastern Georgia became part ofthe new state of Georgia after it was formed from partsof three other states: North Carolina, South Carolina and Kentucky. By 1800, many Cherokees had moved westward into Alabama and Mississippi where they founded towns such as Mobile and Yazoo City. In 1802-1803 General Andrew Jackson led an army through central Georgia against the Cherokee nations during his campaign for president; while in Richmond Hill he made an encampment near present day Chattahoochee Hills to supply his troops with victuals In 1865 Confederate General Robert Ewell's army invaded northern Fulton County during its attempt to cross over the Chattahoochee River into newly acquired Alabama; after routing Union forces at Sayler's Mill Bridge Ewell advanced southward along what is now US-441 until he reached Petersburg where he called off his march due to high water levels across the river which would have allowed Union forces to crossing unmolested In 1868 cattle rancher James Aiken built a log cabin on land that later became known as "Richmond Hill". Aiken named his property for President George Washington because it was within walking distance of Mount Vernon House where Washington resided for much ofhis life Beginning in 1861 local residents started selling rural real estate east of thenational road that ran through downtown Fulton County; this included present day Richmond Hill which lay just east of what is now I-285 This "Rural Road System" featured many small towns clustered around major commercial areas such as Atlanta or Chattanooga/Nashville
On December 1, 1941, the United States Air Force was activated as a separate branch of the military. The Air Force had been in existence since 1917, but its origins date back to World War I when America’s first true air force was formed. The First World War saw America become an active participant in the conflict and establish itself as one of the leading nations on Earth. This success led to a demand for more air power and by 1922, the US Air Service had reached parity with Great Britain’s Royal Navy. By 1933, American aviation had become so advanced that it could support ground forces even while in international airspace. In 1945, after years of development and expansion, America's first jet fighter squadron was activated – Ninth Air Force (9 AF). In 1947-1948 Hitler's Germany invaded North Korea; this began World War II II again becoming global with America now at war on two fronts. In 1949-1950 both sides signed peace treaties ending hostilities in Europe and Japan emerged victorious from WWII. At this time 9 AF became known as Tactical Fighter Command (TFC). TFC operated primarily Boeing 727-based jets which were used for providing air cover for troops and conducting offensive missions against enemy targets across Asia. With a total population of over 324 million people by 1950, American aerospace technology was starting to impact other parts of society such as agriculture and transportation too. Aerojet Aviation Corporation built their highly successful Rocketdyne division within TFC during this time too which helped create new technologies such as ballistic missile guidance systems and cruise missiles. These advancements would later lead to America's space exploration program through NASA during the late 1960s/early 1970s!
