At that time,Atlanta had only a few blocks of commercial space for retail businesses- making it difficult for entrepreneurs to start up their own businesses without help from larger institution like Coca Cola or General Motors (which controlled much of Atlanta). In order to solve this problem, Dickson started selling pre-packaged ground coffee at his shop instead of starting his own store outright. This allowed him to build relationships with local merchants and get his products into more hands than just those who bought Coca Cola or General Motors products nearby. From thereon out, Dickson's became known as one of Atlanta's leading purveyors of smallbatch espresso beans and other cupcakes/coffee items until he sold his business in 1984 to Dutch Schultz's National Roasting Company (NRC). Over the next several decades NRC managed various aspects of Atlanta's large-scale Small Batch Coffee Businesses program before being purchased by Starbucks in 1997spite having zero ownership stake whatsoever within NRC itself- vesting simply control over Seattle based Starbucks Small Batch Coffee Trustees who manage all aspects surrounding single origin roasts within SBTC guidelines while maintaining oversight over production inconsistencies among individual shops worldwide
