The plantation owner, Mr. John Coffee, began to grow coffee beans in this area and started selling them to people throughout the south. Some people even traveled as far north as Albany, New York to purchase their favourite coffee from Mr. Coffee. In 1917, a woman named Vera Griggs started a small grocery store in Lilburn and began serving coffee from her storefront. This was the beginning of what would become known as Griggs Coffee Company Ltd., which is still operating today! In 1934, Mrs. Griggs passed away and her son-in-law took over operation of the store and continued serving delicious coffee until his death in 1978. Through all these years, Griggs Coffee Company Ltd.'s legacy has remained unchanged: They continue to provide delicious cup of joe to everyone who visits their store!

Lilburn, Georgia is a small town in the U.S. state of Georgia that is the seat of Union County. The population was 7,442 at the 2010 census and 8,818 as of 2018. Lilburn is located on the Chattahoochee River north-northwest of Atlanta. Lilburn was founded in 1811 by Captain John Frye as a small settlement on the Savannah River near present day Roswell. By 1821 it had become an important commercial center with its own courthouse and jail. In 1825, General James Wilkinson recommended that Lilburn be incorporated as a town; it was incorporation in 1829. The town experienced heavy flooding during Hurricane Andrew in 1992 which destroyed most of the original buildings but also left many new ones standing including a library and theater complex that are still used today. Lilburn has been listed as one of America's "100 Most Precious Places" by Forbes magazine multiple times and has been featured on TV shows like "The Office". A total of 10 businesses have opened up in Lilburn since 2006 when Mayor Craig Newmark announced that he would help revive the economy through incentives such as early voting rights for residents who bring their ballots to his office before election day; this led to what is now known as "Newmark's Law." In addition to early voting rights, other recent initiatives include creating more public transportation options within walking distance and developing a recycling program specifically for Lilburn citizens which currently collects spent energy drinks from local businesses and sends them back into production without sending any waste away to landfills
