Lilburn, Georgia is a town in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. The population was 6,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The town started as a small farming community in 1869 and developed into a small commercial center after Railroads came through the area. Lilburn became an important seaport on the Savannah River during the 19th century and modern day Lilburn has become one of the busiest ports in south Georgia with its multiple container terminals and offshore oil rigs. Today's economy is based on manufacturing (primarily textiles) as well as retail trade and services. The local government is made up of a mayor-council form of government with three members elected at-large to serve four year terms; there are no limits to how many terms may be served consecutively. There are also two school districts that operate within Lilburn boundaries: the public schools for residents inside of the city limits while Stetson University operates campuses in both north and south parts of town outside city limits; however, all students attend both systems regardless of their residence within or without Lilburn limits. There are two primary cultural attractions to visit in or around Lilburn: The nearby Savannah River Site which contains some World War II combat memorabilia from General George Patton's army when he were fighting against fascism in Europe and Operation Crossfire which annually brings thousands people from all over southern Georgia together for prayer service near downtown before Christmas Eve Parade - one of South America's largest events!
The Coast Guard has a long and varied history, which can be traced back to 1881 when the first coast guard stations were established along the U.S. Atlantic Coast. In 1917, the Coast Guard was organized into three corps - the Service Intelligence Unit Patrol, Motor Lifeguard and Marine Safety Command - with headquarters in New York City. The Service Intelligence Unit Patrol was responsible for information gathering on criminal activity on the American coasts and kept track of fishing vessels involved in smuggling activity. In 1951, the Service Intelligence Unit Patrol was re-organized into an agency called the National Security Division (NSD), which became responsible for all intelligence activities within the Coast Guard including counterintelligence, counterterrorist patrols and trade security investigations. The NSD also had responsibility for providing logistical support to other law enforcement agencies on American coasts. On 1 March 1976, under then Director of Homeland Security John Sununu, the Department of Homeland Security created two new branches within DHS: Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Within CBP was created a division called Field Operations Support Activity (FOSA) which was responsible for all border protection operations including apprehensions; searches; seizures; interceptions; detention/incarceration; processing aliens arriving at or departing from our airports/migratory crossings; monitoring vehicle traffic on U.S.-Mexico borders Since its inception in 1976, ICE has seen relentless growth as it becomes increasingly necessary to crackdown on illegal immigration and protect public safety across multiple industries sectorsFootnote 1 CBP saw significant expansion in their mission area as well with creation of various divisions such as field operations management squadron Lighthouse Point (FOG) Squadron Two – also known as Pacific Zone – Crosswater Channel Sector Headquarters Maritime Investigations Section Air Traffic Services Squadron One hundred thirty-sixth District Office Region IX Offices In October 2018 President Donald Trump ordered that all United States ports receive additional personnel from both CBP and ICE effective January 20th 2019 until further noticeFootnote 2 This order came after months of protests by immigrant rights organizations who claim that large numbers of immigrants are being processed through these two agencies at far below full capacityFootnote 3

Lilburn is a small town in Macon County, Georgia, United States. The population was 4,693 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Lilburn was founded in 1827 as a small log settlement on the Chattahoochee River by a group of Macon County whites led by James A. Mickelson and John Withers. The original name for the community was "Macon City." In 1829, it became one of nine towns in Macon County to be chartered under the state constitution. Lilburn experienced its greatest growth during the Reconstruction era (1868-1877). In 1876, Lilburn became an incorporated village and began to become known as a center for political activity and culture. The community's rich history has been commemorated through many different types of historical markers and programs throughout the years. The current incarnation of Lilburn began to take form after World War II when nearby Mableton started to experience rapid growth due to new industrial development within its boundaries. After several years of struggles between residents over control over their own future, Master Plan No. 2 was created which aimed to create Comprehensive Community Development Plans (CCDP) that would provide guidance and leadership for all aspects of community life including education, economic development, infrastructure needs, environmental protection and public services such as transportation and parks; comprehensive plans are now an integral part of mainstream culture in both cities since they allow communities more direct control over their own destiny while still preserving important cultural values
Lilburn was founded in 1811 by Nicholas Johns, a cotton planter. The town rapidly grew and by 1835 it had a population of over 1,000 people. In the 1840s, Lilburn became a center for slave trade and the early growth of the cotton industry. By 1860, Lilburn's population had declined to about 100 people and it never regained its previous size. In 1865, Lilburn was incorporated as a city and soon became one of the largest cities in Georgia. It retains this status to this day.
